ساكن لوحده .. الناس مابتروحلوش ..
و مفيش صحاب بتزوره لما يغيب ..

كان عنده عَجَلة معوضاه أهله ..
و بيمشي دايما بيها جنب الحيط ..
في الجري حتى بيجري على مهله ..
و يخاف أوي م الزحمة والتخبيط ..

بينما كان أحد الرجال يمشي، سقطت منه على أرض رخامية نظاراته الطبية وأحدثت صوتاً قوياً أثناء الارتطام بالأرض. انحنى الرجل ليلتقط النظارة بحزن، ذلك أن العدسات الكريستالية للنظارة تكلف كثيراً هذه الأيام، ولكن أصابته الدهشة عندما رأى أن النظارة لم تنكسر. اعتبر الرجل نفسه محظوظاً جداً، وأعتقد أن ما حدث معه نفعه في تعلم درس جيد، بحيث إنه ذهب على الفور إلى مركز بيع نظارات طبية واشترى بيتاً من الجلد المبطن على الوجهين ليحمي به النظارة. وما إن مضت ساعة على ذلك حتى وقع منه بيت النظارة مرة ثانية، وعندما ما انحنى ليلتقط البيت الجلدي المبطن صُعق حين رأى النظارة مكسورة. وحتى الآن لم يستطع أن يفهم غموض التدابير الإلهية: فالمعجزة، بالنسبة له، قد حدثت اليوم معه.

الرجل الفيل

خوليو كورتاثر

قطعت أذني وخرجتُ من المنزل. في المصعد سألني جاري عمّا حدث، فأجبته أنني تعرضت لحادث بينما كنت أتزحلق على الثلج. أما بائع الكشك فقلت له إنّ أحداً ما هاجمني ومعه سكين حاد. ثم في المقهى، أصر النادل على معرفة ما حدث لي، فأجبته، لقد سقطت مني لا أكثر ولا أقل.

في العمل قلت لزملائي في المكتب أنني تعرضت لورم خبيث، فنجح الأمر.

حتى هي اقتربت مني، وقبلتني على وجهي. كان صوتها رائعاً ورائحتها عطرة، حتى إنها كانت أجمل بكثير عن قرب. بعد مرور عدة أيام عاد كل شيء كما كان سابقاً. البارحة فقط قطعت أذني الثانية.
