It's 2010. It's raining on a friday, so you don't have to worry about any homework or sports. You grab some snacks, turn on the computer, and start playing Minecraft for hours while you hear the raindrops outside. You were still just a kid. No worries, no stress. Life was... simple.

Minecraft gave us a world of our own, to explore and discover, to create. The limit was our own imagination. I spent most of my time playing wandering around and building stuff. Others liked to fight monsters and mine a lot. We each made our own story. I think that's why Minecraft made us feel special.

I still remember when I would come home after high school, opened skype, and entered a minecraft lobby full of friends. It was days like this, normal, unassuming days. We didn't really think about what we had, we didn't really care. The thing is, time felt infinite. Everything was so far away, so we always had time.

Well now I'm here, and if I could go back, I think I would try to enjoy it just a little bit more.

I wish I could go back to be that child again, full of enthusiasm, hope and wonder. Our days were filled with laughs playing with friends online, and watching our favourite Minecraft youtubers. We went to sleep thinking what we could do in our servers the days to come. Will we build a fortress? Will we fight the ender dragon? Will we fight the wither? Why don't we go exploring?... 

We waited eagerly each day to see which videos were posted on YouTube. Hunger games, parkour, let's plays, cops and robbers, who knows, the possibilities were endless. So many memories, so many stories we lived and shared through them. We changed as time passed, and so did them.  Not everyone is still here with us... Some have strayed away from this path... Some have disappeared... but we will remember them all, how they made us feel, and the joy they brought to our days.

I hope this video sparks some of your memories. We all had different experiences, we didn't watch exactly the same stuff after all, but most of us shared something at least, and in that way, we were all connected through this game.

Don't forget your memories, and let's create some new ones along the way.
