This song features my twin brother as "Danger Boi". He's got bars. I wanted to make a hard western style beat that had blues guitar on it.

This song actually pre-dates WTBJ. I still didn't feel like I had discovered "my sound" when I made this. I was blending together a lot of things I had heard in popular albums at the time. This was the first song I felt like I did a legit full mix on. The vocals were clean, the beat was tight, the hook was catchy, the cadences were entertaining. This song felt like a lot of reasons to be confident.

Life is no cakewalk. There’s no way to twist this story to make me sound like a cool, less popular version of Justin Bieber or Eminem.

In 2017, I put out the mixtape Bedroom Beats and another in 2018 titled Windows. Both projects were removed by me. In 2018, I became a University dropout from a school I couldn't afford in Seattle. This opened up opportunities to pursue financial independence and make a living as a recording artist.

I promised myself that I would spend 10 years pursuing success in music. If that wasn't God's plan for my life, I figured I would know by 2028. During my time in Seattle, I spent most of my days working two jobs—somewhere from 65-80 hours a week. Buried in student loan debt, I wasn't willing to live that way anymore. I spent a year focused exclusively on making beats, mixing, and mastering, and another year focusing on vocal execution and lyricism. WTBJ was the culmination of those months spent pouring everything I could into my music.

After WTBJ gave birth to the next nine songs in my catalog, I stepped back from music for six months due to the toll my work schedule and music production had taken on my mental health and ability to be a healthy friend, partner, and individual. Half a year later, I found myself at the beginning of 2020 wrapping up final mixes of those first 10 songs. Thank you for joining me on this adventure as I release those songs to the world.
