No whales were harmed in the creation of this song.  They are not real whale sounds, sorry.  Improvised guitar and old Yamaha keyboard through an effects pedal.  Whale sounds were keyboard in portamento through the effects pedal.

I wrote these weird lyrics in the 90s.  Then I generated the voice using text to speech synthesis.  Then I put this together in FruityLoops.

Popcorn On Ice

This song is about camping and worrying about gas prices.  The lyrics are completely improvised, and I added in some weird cat noises.  Multi-layer improvisation with Yamaha keyboard, guitar, and vocals through an echo pedal.

Gas Prices

Multi-layer improvised song with me playing my old Yamaha keyboard, and me singing multiple voice parts (lead and backup).  Let me also say that the lyrics were COMPLETELY improvised.  I was cooking some chicken in my old apartment in Williamsburg, VA.

My father was in a barbershop group called "Out Of The Blue" in Virginia.  They went to several competitions.  I got into barbershop for a while.  The original version of this was badly recorded, so I made another.

As a musician and producer, I find myself drawn to the unique sonic landscapes that various musical modes offer. My latest endeavor is no exception; I've experimented with the Mixolydian mode and integrated it into my new deep house track. The result is a melody that is both familiar and exotic, which I'm excited to share. The Mixolydian mode, which is essentially a major scale with a lowered seventh, infuses a bluesy, relaxed feel to my guitar melody, offering a fresh texture to the deep house genre.
