Resilient

I was inspired by Claude Debussy for this song.

Encouraged

I had just composed my song "Resilient", and in the album cover, I had made a tiny little dandelion on the bottom right where it was brighter, the point being the dandelion survives regardless of the crumbling buildings, etc.  And I wanted to get back into some symphonic music.  This is supposed to be the mind of the dandelion.  It is not technically an overture of course.

So I did actually take some professional music composition classes at the Swift Creek Academy for the Performing Arts in Chesterfield, VA.  But since 2009, my primary music theory teacher is my girl, who introduced me to Holst.

Morning Frost

The image artwork for the album cover and waveform were created in watercolor by Rachel Rodgers, my sister.  This piece is a classical drone/ambient, where I attempt to have a constant lower drone noise behind a high pitched dissonant lead.

The City That Never Sleeps

Experimental meditation oscillation song. TEOP1 Field keyboard, started with a layer of mid-level digital organ with some weird timber effect in it, then added an almost walking jazz bass accompaniment, then went back and added a higher layer of some more ethereal stuff.  The point of this song is drone background for some thinking/working.
