Child Of The Third Season.

NATURE

Checkout my production "The Unseen Observer," a modern update inspired by the cold, shadowy suspense of Grace Jones's "I've Seen That Face Before." I have created atmospheric tension with contemporary electronic textures.

The foundation is a relentless deep house beat and a grounded sine sub bass, creating a sonic space that feels both empty and omnipresent.  I have played a koto clone plectraclone melody to  provides a sharp, exotic edge, echoing the dramatic, global quality of the original "Libertango" sample, while the bongos introduce a human, almost desperate percussive rhythm. 

Layered over this, the unsettling shimmer of the synthesiser crosswaves and the ghostly texture of the swimming voices perfectly embody the theme of surveillance, creating a "digital imprint of a vanishing space" and ultimately giving a voice to the invisible "Unseen Observer" in the lyrics of my voice.

I’ve seen that face before, in every blank screen The silent consensus of where I have been. It watches me search, it watches me pace, The digital imprint of a vanishing space. It doesn't blink, it doesn't judge, it just records, The unseen observer knows all the words.
I walk through the park where the cameras bloom Each corner a mirror reflecting the doom Of knowing your privacy is just a myth Exchanged for a handshake, a number, a kiss. I turn off the sound, I cover the lens, But the echoes still follow the way that it ends.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
