To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Defected Records presents a series of extra special collaborative releases Together, integrating talent from the label’s storied past and the stars of its future. One of the OG Defected House Masters, Dennis Ferrer’s relationship with the iconic London label is checkpointed by a vast number of innovative originals, guiding house through many eras from soul and gospel to Afro and techno. Now renowned as one of the instantly recognisable anthems of modern house and the Defected catalogue, ‘Hey Hey’ receives two Afro house remixes from Jack Back and Da Capo & Kitty Amor. One of electronic music’s most recognisable artists, David Guetta created the Jack Back alias to return to his house roots, releasing the chart-topping Defected hit ‘(It Happens) Sometimes’ in 2018. His remix of Dennis Ferrer’s classic has been widely teased in his sets, including a DJ Mag livestream which resulted in a tidal wave of fan support; now the French titan presents the hotly anticipated ‘Hey Hey’, complete with pitched percussion steering us towards moments of tension and smooth, deep release. Up next on the package, South African producer Da Capo joins forces with a pioneer of the burgeoning UK Afro house scene, Mahaba Music label boss Kitty Amor. Not Everyone Understands™ is a House music driven brand & record label based out of Miami [USA] / Ibiza [Spain]. Founded by DJ/Producer & Nightlife connoisseur Yanik Coen in 2019, the brand's purpose is to remain exclusive while intimately engaging with its clientele through the power of Dance music.

For those who aren't familiar, the name of the company was inspired by Eddie Amador’s classic record “House Music”. As an homage to the genre, and where it has led him in life, Yanik is eager to keep building an iconic brand for years to come both on the local and international stages by fusing new and classic sounds, as well as talents. 

The brand's exclusively sexy vibes mirrors Yanik Coen's DJ sets perfectly by bridging the gap between the commercial and underground spaces of Dance music, powered by a line of music which isn’t only limited to one specific genre, rather accurately delivered to the audience in a manner only very few artists can. Hence the name: Not Everyone Understands.
