With origins rooted in synthpop duo Getsuga Tenshou and honed at The Cologne University of Music, Etane's sonic alchemy challenges dance music's fabric, blending Italo Disco, Darkwave, EBM, Trance, and Acid Techno into a mesmerizing tapestry.

Inspired by the enigmatic allure of urban landscapes and the spectral echoes of the 80s, Etane invites listeners into a labyrinthine realm where shadows dance and whispers beckon. His compositions, pulsating with throbbing rhythms and infused with ethereal melodies, conjure a symphony that transcends time and space.

Etane's sonic voyages, released on esteemed labels such as Critical Monday, Odonien Records, Ombra International, Samo Records, and Logical Records, serve as clandestine transmissions from the depths of the unknown, resonating with the souls of those who dare to venture into the darkness.

Elene, a DJ from the raw, unfiltered streets of Tbilisi, crafts soundscapes that punch you in the gut and steal your breath. Her music is a cocktail of dark disco, tech-house, and acid, mixed with a deft hand and a devilish grin. Each set is a journey through shadowy alleys of deep, unforgettable beats, where she teases and taunts with playful transitions.

Tbilisi’s nocturnal pulse has hardwired itself into Elene's veins. Growing up in the chaos of the city's clubs and clandestine parties, she's learned to thrive on the edge, to dance with danger. Her sets aren’t just music—they're a rebellion, a siren call to the wild at heart.

...And just when you think you’ve figured her out, when you’re lost in the rhythm, she hits you with a track so unexpected, so haunting, you realise you never really knew her at all. Because Elene isn’t just playing music—she’s orchestrating your descent into the unknown.

this time we have @akrav-isra as our guest. 
Since his earliest childhood Akrav has been immersed in various musical spheres. Thanks to his rock enthusiast father or his opera singer godmother, he made up his own eclectic culture, from classical music to pop, wave, post punk, hip hop or rap music.

Only five years ago he opted for the turntables to make us enjoy his culture and influences. This unique and broad universe comes out in each of his DJ sets, plunging the dancefloor in a hypnotic and striking atmosphere, by combining wave sounds as well as energising and massive basses.

Therefore these collections offer a genuine overview that extends from downtempo rhythms to the borders of techno music, through dark disco and indie dance : the audience has to let go and physically experience the music, which is truly new and deep.

For all these reasons, Akrav was naturally led to play at Bricks Festival, at Fabulous Festival, where he stood alongside artists such as Damon Jee, Adriatique, Popof, Dixon or Ame. He also travelled overseas to make people dance at the Americas bar, a reference South American club. In addition, Akrav is in residence at Asthetics, a Mexican label and at the renowned Nein Records label in Berlin.

In short, this is a booming start for this young and talented artist, whose music is as catching as his happiness.

TONER: A Dark Disco - Indie Dance DJ Set

Our thirteenth guest hails from France.

Bonnie Spacey, French and Marseille based Dj/Producer, has been rocking the dance floors since 2016.

She had her musical light bulb moment after hearing Miss Kittin & The Hacker for the first time. It was the turn of the millennium and this introduction led her to dive deeper and deeper into electronic music. When she eventually decided to pursue it herself, as a DJ and producer, she began to pair these sounds with another of her formative influences, her intrinsic love of guitars, which was passed down through her guitarist father.

She explores the intersection of these sounds though indie dance, heady techno and dark disco, in both her DJ sets and her own output. « Don’t », her first single, was an immediate success and played by Dixon, Jennifer Cardini and many others. Since then, she accumulated numerous releases on serious labels such as Phisica, Jeahmon! And Lumière Noire to name a few. This led her to perform on prestigious international clubs such as the Kaputt Club (Bogota), Bar Oriente (Mexico), Sisyphos and Renate (Berlin), Sala Upload (Barcelona) or Club Control (Bucarest).

As a space to share her own music and those of likeminded artists, in 2019 she launched Critical Monday, a label dedicated to a club-ready concoction of techno and rock-orientated music. So far she’s welcomed the likes of Curses, Rafael Cerato, Shubostar, Tony Y Not, Günce Aci and Mala Ika to the imprint, all of whom share her love of these potent sonics.

In this episode, she curated for us an eclectic mix of indie dance and electro soundscapes that we are sure you will enjoy.
