In their latest release, ‘Teer’ (english: tar), rand unveil two uncompromising extended tracks, ‘Teer I – fluid’ and ‘Teer II – rolled’.
Teer is due to be released on 29 August 2025 via their own imprint RAND.

Exuding a technoid and industrial ambience, the EP sees the piano-electro duo of Jan Gerdes and Dr.Nojoke venture into uncharted territories. 
‘Teer’ evokes the atmosphere of urban spaces and overlooked places: the profane and seemingly meaningless transitions of car parks, subways and construction sites, where material textures and surfaces are scanned acoustically.
You can hear machines moving and processing the tar, smoothing the ground and forming layers and bead-like thickenings as it transitions from liquid to solid, with the edges fraying in a coordinated manner.

In ‘Teer I’, the musical material takes on a more fluid and wafting form, driven by pulsating technoid machines, while a lonely, melancholic voice observes from a distance.
'Teer II' is more of a portrait of the rhythmic details of the urban scenario: the motorised, metallic pulsations of the machines at work during various rolling processes form acoustic layers between which a quite sad, hypnotic melody occasionally emerges.

Everything seems deserted and gloomy … with only a few workers behind the machines.

"Antihero" is like not being able to get Tolga Maktay's EP "Core" out of your head, even though the weekend is still to come. But if you've really found the
"core", you won't tell me where it is.

You want to tell me? Then you'd better swap the T-shirt for a book by Rumi. Let Rumi dress you up entirely so that you finally realize who you are not. The true
antihero must be against everything. The absolute antihero is against absolutely everything. He is against your will, against your concepts, against all the hate
and all the self-obsession. The antihero is specifically against you. Does that trigger you? Do you prefer to play the hero? Then throw away Rumi's book and
write a new one that tells everyone how everything should be. Start an "Urban Cult" that shows everyone how everything should be. But the book of the antihero tells us how everything is not. The book of the antihero is even against the antihero.

There are already many versions of this book. This version here is sound and dance. This version is high culture with depth and subculture on a high. This
version is by Tolga Maktay, Kunterweiß, Judith Ahrends and Onur Diner and you can find it on Meeronauten Musik. But just when you think you've finally
found the "core", you should listen to the music again and again. Maybe then it will reveal what is not meant by it. Savvy?
