Making his debut on the Nothing Else Matters imprint this summer is UK based House, Techno & Disco DJ and producer, Ben Bux, with his brand-new single, ‘Shadows & Dust’. Purveyor of infectious grooves and an energy inducing atmosphere, Ben Bux plays across a whole spectrum of genres. His infatuation with Dance music began at an early age when he developed a taste for Trance and Progressive House. As the years rolled on, following numerous trips to the White Isle, his musical knowledge expanded and a desire to become a part of the industry ensued, kickstarting his foray into the DJing world.

Fast forward to 2023 and Ben has a string of successful releases out on the likes of Stress Records, Arcane, Nothing But alongside own imprint, Bux Edits and he’s seen support from some of the biggest DJs in the scene including Eli Brown, Nicole Moudaber, Monki, Eats Everything and Solardo. After receiving early support from Sarah Story, Meg Ward, Denis Sulta, Matt Guy, Matisa and of course label boss, Danny Howard, ‘Shadows & Dust’ looks set to fly up the Dance charts! An amalgamation of classic House infused with rave-inspired synths resulting in a concoction of acid b-lines, thumping kick drums, vintage chords and catchy vocal hooks, expect to hear this everywhere this summer season!

His infatuation with dance music began at an early age when he developed a taste for trance and progressive house music. As the years rolled on, following numerous trips to the White Isle, his musical knowledge expanded and a desire to become apart of the industry ensued, thus kick starting his foray into the DJing world.

His playing style is heavily influenced by the sounds of 90’s underground dance music, namely that of a classic/acid house and techno nature with the odd sprinkling of disco when the time is right. After establishing himself in his local scene and branching out into London and surrounding areas, he developed a desire to delve into music production. His beat making style could be described as an amalgamation of classic rave-house infused with a punchy acid flavour resulting in a concoction of groovy baselines, thumping kick drums, vintage synths and catchy vocal hooks.

His exposure to a multitude of genres has enabled Ben Bux to really get the crowd on their feet, whether via his deep and varied crate of music or his own unique productions. Expect nostalgic vibes with an interactive and playful approach as he shares his musical secrets with the dance floor. One thing is for sure, the future for Ben Bux is looking as bright as his curly blonde locks.

Nothing Else Matters (NEM) channels the inclusive energy dance music is truly about. Founded by BBC Radio 1 DJ and tastemaker Danny Howard, NEM’s roots lay in British nightlife where its events expanded into an electronic music record label supporting club-ready productions.

Its catalogue features some of the most influential DJs including Detlef, Illyus & Barrientos, Lee Foss, Rhythm Masters, Secondcity, Solardo and more. Influenced by Danny’s Radio 1 show, the label functions as a platform to break new talent as well as represent contemporary UK dance sounds.

NEM global event series emulate the stripped-back essence of old school raves for a minimalist experience that keeps the music at the core of its soul.'
