After years of work in their studio in Norrebro in Copenhagen, in seclusion on the Danish isle of Bornholm, and in the Swedish music capitol, Gothenburg, have the duo Nothing of this is Real just presented their album ‘Did we kill you, dear?’.

Nothing of this is Real is the result of a long lasting work fellowship between singer, guitarist, and main lyricist, Jakob Dahn, and multi-instrumentalist and producer, Morten Dalhoff.
They have been working together since 2001 and have released records and toured with their former band , Skywriter, and now as the duo Nothing of this is Real. Their first release under that name was the EP ‘The Runner’ from 2011.

Nothing of this is Real has parallel to the work on the album toured in Denmark and Germany with an acoustic set up, but has now gathered a seven-piece-band - which consist of great musical forces such as drummer Rune Kofoed (Afenginn, Grow Fins), cellist and singer Line Felding (Cody, Monkey Cup Dress), amongst others – to help give the album its musical wings in  2015.  

The album  ‘Did we kill you, dear?’ was mixed in Gothenburg together with the Swedish producer wizard Mattias Glavå (Håkon Hellström, Dungen, Anna Järvinen etc.) and was  released in February 2015 on Wild Mood Records/Iceberg Music Group.

The album ‘Did we kill you, dear?’ is both musically and lyrically comprehensive. Lyrically it spreads from the political over lyrics about lived life to the more abstract. Musically the album spreads from grand orchestrated extrovert noisy rock’n’roll drama to indie feels, such as the first single ‘Borrowed Shoes’ to the tender stripped down storytelling. From 72 tracks to 2 tracks. From 160 mph to a walk in the woods.

The duo’s got a publishing deal with Iceberg Publishing
