in late December 2015 my father-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and moved in with me, my wife and 3 children. For the next 15 months I witnessed a man fight like I've never seen a man fight before. With all odds against him, doctors telling him he had weeks to live, he pressed on and proved them wrong. I wrote this song during that time that he lived with us. I look back now and realize how much I admired his perseverance, his will to live, his belief that he would beat it "when I'm done with this cancer" he'd say. I didn't realize that this song was about that until after he passed in March of 2017. That's what I love most about writing music. We miss you Rick!

It's with great pleasure that Uwe @wust and I release the first track from our new EP project together. Three years ago we collaborated on a track entitled '777', however we both wanted to work on a collection of songs offering a more comprehensive artistic statement. We're working toward completing the EP by early this Summer.

Still processing my father's loss, and struggling to put fingers to keys of late. But I know that I need to push through this wail and return to the you-n-i-verse eventually.
