I had no idea what I was going to play for Future Forest 2023. Id gotten my application in 5 minutes before the deadline with no real idea of what I was actually going to play. Then one day I heard the Tinlicker remix of Hero Baldwin's Rebirth, and my whole body tingled with truth bumps and I legit cried. I still cry when I hear that song. In an instant I knew that was my opening track. After that everything flowed, I knew the vibe I was going for and how I wanted to feel when playing and listening it. It was so special, having my love up there on stage with me and my friends and little bro Mike in the crowd dancing. This is my last set I will be uploading as Aural Stiorra, as she has been laid to rest (R.I.B Rest in Beats) I play now with my love as THE DOPENESS.

Background: shannnnoonnnn currently lives in Tucson, AZ but is originally from San Diego, CA. At the start of her journey (2021-22), backyard gatherings were the norm for her circle, where friends took turns bringing over mixers, which in turn piqued shannnnoonnnn’s interest in mixing. At the start of her run, she primarily played at house parties and small events, but has found a larger platform in her current dwelling. After moving to Tucson, she quickly found her people when she sent a mix to the Visionary House Collective (https://www.instagram.com/visionary_house_market/) to showcase her sound in an upcoming Festival. Now, she offers her selections for a variety of festivals and events as a part of the Visionary House crew, which prides itself in bringing a unique music culture to the funky city of Tucson and surrounding cities.

shannnnoonnnn’s sets are usually genres ranging from lo-fi hip hop to techno, dubstep, tech house, and nu-disco. And today, this mix recorded for The Chapel is a curated range of spooky techno tracks for your ears to enjoy.

last year MumbleBee and Pandaura played a lot together, including two new years ago, so I couldn't imagine a better way to end the year and to kick off what was ultimately an amazing party.

Going b2b with you feels so natural, Pandaura. “Yes I agree MumbleBee!”
“Now that I think about, we played b2b at least a little bit, and sometimes for like 6 hours, at every event I even DJed last year lol”. “Wow damn you're right! From bar balconies to burning man! And every missoula basement inbetween!”

This mix is filled with fantastic beats that hop from house to drum and bass. Starting with MumbleBee then moving to a b2b session with Pandaura before he took it to the end. It’s always special when we remember to hit record and capture the moment sonically. This one brings me right back to this magic moment when we stood on the edge of 2023 knowing there’d be something new on the horizon for us all.
