Split EPs are sexy, which is why W133 proudly presents W133D005 by Noti x Brandon Braun.
Noti kicks off the EP with "Dream," a tension-building, simple groover that pulls you into hypnotic states. 
If you find yourself lost too deep, don't panic, as his second track, "Future," will gently rouse you back. 
It's a lo-fi roller with unique percussion work and just the right blend of weird grooves and sounds.
On the virtual B-Side, we find three originals by Brandon Braun. 
"Destined to Meet" is a techno/house hybrid destined to become a summer hit. Uplifting synths and passionate vocoder vocals bring a smile to everyone's face. Following that, he presents two dubby techno tracks:  "Zero G" and, last but not least, "Memories". Both tracks are more dramatic and melancholic yet maintain a light and playful essence, serving as perfect closers for the EP.

The fourth instalment of Etched comes in the form of Noti.

A producer that delves far and wide into the leftfield corners of electronic dance music, Noti is not shy about experimenting with a palette of colourful sounds and structures that work seamlessly, whilst also nodding to the old school aspects of dance music.

'Numbers' is a self-explanatory, high-energy bop unlike anything you've heard before. Packed with ear candy, bouncy drums and hypnotic vocals, this one is a surefire way to get heads turning in the rave.

'Bring The Bass Back' is a track that feels reminiscent to early 90's underground dance music - glittered in catchy samples and squelchy synths that will never leave you bored.

What If It Works Episode 18 featuring a very special guest hailing all the way from Brighton, UK: Noti! 

We met Noti last summer and quickly got hooked by his versatile and at the same time unerring taste that shows in his own productions just as well as in his expertly put together sets.

They watched everything. They saw everything. From tall branches and from rooftops they gazed out upon the bitterness of the world below and took it all in with beady, bubbling eyes and a sense of bewilderment.

They flew through the crowds, once they were at one with the people who walked beneath.

In the evening they would shelter, away from the chaos of it all. For what else was for them to do?

They were the last birds of the sky in these parts, a rotten city left behind.

SSSLIP & Beton Brut team up for an EP on Paris based record label Grid. The record also features a punchy remix from Noti which took our pick.

"Plastic Future" is a sonic exploration of our shared, contrary life experience through representing and showcasing the uneasy, joyous dichotomies of our plastic era. We exist during humanity's most successful epoch, yet live in constant fear of catastrophe. The world is shimmering plastic and we revel in its glory.

The first track in the mix is the self-produced work "Plastic People," which distills these themes through combining early Detroit-style vocals written and performed by Noti, 2010s dubstep bass representing an evolution in sound design (shout out to South London's legendary Plastic People club), and digital-era synth stabs that evoke our current online age of nostalgia and confusion. The lyrics both critique and celebrate our hypernormal reality - a beautiful, fragile creation that may be collapsing even as we dance in its glow.

The mix is to be taken as the sonic palette for the project. It moves from the sci-fi optimism of 90s electro through to the sickly clinical perfection of contemporary Ostgut Ton techno, with many more moods and influences representing and contrasting both our plastic reality and the dreams that built it.

Through melodic euphoria vs. melancholic dissonance, analog warmth vs. digital sterility - this work becomes a metaphor for our collective condition: thriving within suffocation, finding joy in the synthetic, and dancing on the edge of oblivion. It's neither pure celebration nor condemnation, but a resonant vibration of our unstable now.
