Two artists that have found a home for their exquisite sonic palettes on Shogun Audio, Pola & Bryson and Emily Makis now serve up some of their most captivating work to date. Titled 'Phoneline', this latest offering collates Emily's mesmerising vocal capabilities and songwriting with the masterful production of one of drum and bass' most talented production duos.

Following on from a monstrous 2022's in which Pola & Bryson released 'Tell You What I Did', which went into rotation on Radio 1's playlist, and remixed the likes of David Guetta, VenBee, and High Contrast, 'Phoneline' sees them link up with a future superstar and the most exciting and compelling vocalist in drum and bass music in Emily Makis.
A frenzy of drums, plucks, synth work, and vocals that all co-exist in a sphere that's equal in its vast quantities of tension, power, and beauty, 'Phoneline' is a serious statement from both artists that'll resonate with listeners in the dance just as much as it will with those hearing it at home.

Vibe Chemistry is one of the UK’s most exciting and consistent names in electronic music. With multiple charting tracks, over 150 million streams across platforms, and a rapidly growing international fanbase, he’s carved out a space as a top-tier producer known for blending high-energy drum & bass with genre-blurring influences. His breakout hit “Balling” became a staple on dance floors and in festivals across the globe, backed by heavy support from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, and Kiss FM, plus spins from legends like Andy C, Chase & Status, and Wilkinson. Vibe Chemistry was also a key force behind the 2023 platinum-selling hit “Dancing Is Healing” alongside Rudimental and Charlotte Plank. Joining him on this project is Elro – an artist with deep roots in the UK rap scene. Known for his sharp lyricism and fearless experimentation, Elro first gained recognition through SBTV and Don’t Flop, going on to work with artists like Mike Skinner, Ghetts, and Wretch 32. As a producer under the alias Lupole, Elro brings a versatile, boundary-pushing sound that bridges hip hop, UKG, drum & bass, and alternative genres.

“Dopamine” is more than a mixtape – it’s a snapshot of chaos, recovery, and creativity. Born out of a turbulent chapter in Vibe Chemistry’s life, the project began shortly after he was caught in the middle of an active burglary and evicted from his home. With nowhere steady to land, he found refuge and focus in the studio of long-time friend and collaborator Elro – a rap artist also known for his production work under the alias Lupole.

The sessions were raw, spontaneous, and healing – music made not from pressure, but from the need to reconnect. There was no plan to over-polish or follow a formula. This is back-to-basics energy: friends in a room, vibing, creating, and capturing whatever felt good in the moment. The result is a fun, genre-jumping ride through different moods and sounds, built with Vibe Chemistry’s favorite people – many of whom he collaborated with even before the “Vibe Chemistry” was established.
