Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Making her believe she could change our miserable fortune with an impossible story! Ridiculous!” “Yes,” he said sadly, “it is impossible. But it is not ridiculous.” Kapchiz invites us to freaky games and turns the impossible into possible. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These tracks can give the warm of the Sun and the pale silver of the Moon. Soule Case, Dare (RU) and Hidaa take out the bitterness of a gloomy night.

London based migrant Throwing Snow makes tracks to melt into. Following his compelling 2010 debut on Alexander Nut’s Ho_Tep imprint and remixes for the likes of Gold Panda and Glasser he returns to Super with emerging vocal talent Py.

Wallow is at the same time sultry, shadowy and glistening. Throwing Snow displays effortless finesse as Py’s raw, soulful delivery adds emotion. Py is joined by the captivating Russell Morgan on The Shadows I Make, an affecting arrangement built around the pairs’ contrasting vocal styles whilst As The Rain Spits sees Py’s vocal chopped and screwed for a proper drum machine workout.

The release is completed by remixes from Lapalux, PhOtOmachine and Raffertie. Lapalux is in full effect, his beat collage blurring the line between digital precision and analogue warmth. Brixton based PhOtOmachine blends subtle elements of the original into a bumping house version as label head Raffertie brings Py’s vocal to the fore, illuminating her enchanting performance.

A Star Called Akasha

Here's a selection from just over a year's worth of sun/solar/star related tracks that I've been saving up. There are a few old favourites which you’ll probably recognise.  Planets & Consonants is masquerading as a sun song, but I like it, so it got to stay :-) There’s a Mind Against track that I fell in love with earlier this year (Solaris), and a couple of darker ones too (Circadian Rhythms, Climb to the Sun). I really wanted to finish with Halcyon - an Orbital track from 1992 and one of my all-time favourites. I’d heard it again after a really long time of not having listened to it, and it sounded as stunning as ever. Halcyon Days go back to Greek mythology - they mark a time of blissful happiness - the days where there are no storms.

French imprint Way Of House are back again with another on-point cut of sound, this time longstanding label artist Wielki, teams up with Marseille producer Sara Zinger. A merging of the fizzling electronic production of Wielki, with the darker techno traits of Sara Zinger, make for a dazzling EP.
The original of ‘Closer’ works electric fused 4/4 beats around a hypnotic vocals and encapsulating dark grooves, for a slightly downtempo chugger that will get the dancefloor moving. On the remix from first comes fellow French talent Cät Cät, who delivers a minimal and driven club focused cut, before Alda round things off.

About The Ep :
Submarine Vibes proudly presents its new release. We are delighted to have the opportunity of bringing abroad our little ship the Russian producer, Soul of Void. Ksayita, as the release is called, is made 
out of three originals and two remixes done by Timboletti and Suptil.

The original tracks Ksayita, Follow me and Jiva will take you on a sonic adventure where you will experience ethno melodies and vocals combined with a classic club groove, as well as some tribal elements to boot. 

The first remix comes from the German producer Timboletti. Timboletti coats the original track with a brand new groove and shows us exactly why he has been dubbed as one of the most prominent producers in his respective genre, which is chock-full of slow rhythms, ethno sounds and beautiful melodies. In the past, Timboletti has released on such labels as Sol Selectas and Underyourskin.

The Suptil duo brings us an intriguing interpretation of the nominal track. The remix is characterized by ethereal synths and melodies that transform an already great original into a masterpiece in its own right.
