This seemingly haunted, lo-fi permutation of ‘90s R&B, holed up in some place cold and distant, is what makes “Lost In Crystal Canyons” another promising addition to the mp3 blog canon. Whereas the song indirectly snatches the sensual confections of The Weeknd and other PBR&B staples, FXXXYBLNT and Mosaicc strive to make it sound custom-fit for contemporary urban radio without having to risk its soul-baring production, constructing a gleaming sonic template that loosens fragmentary structures in favor of a more accessible vibe.

In the preview we went up a few weeks ago on our next compilation, we reported that one of the participating artists was confirmed FXXXYBLNT, musician originally from Manila we met for his song "Window Water Baby Moving." From there I was overwhelmed by its delicate blend of sensitive electronic.
 
The talent he possesses is intended for the most seductive melodies, which carry the somewhat leisurely pace in a very tactic to stir the imagination as he reaches the end of what a courtship looking.

The free download will be obtained on September 10, along with many others at the launch of From Outer Space. Thus, we have uncovered three songs that find within it ("Yell it out!", "Toyland" and "You Are Missing from Me"), hoping that this will become more interested in the end result. FXXXYBLNT continues to push the creative boundaries of electronic music through sample-based hiphop and savvy production skillset. On a purely musical level, “Take Me There” makes excellent use of Touurs’ tweaked vocals with shifting pitches and speed, carefully interlocking chipmuck-soul with stuttering sonic details that reveal fold and layers on repeated listens. Everything here sparkles like honey poured in the headphones: just the right amount of heavenly pleasure dripping to the ears.

There is no question that the Filipino producer is indeed a musical genius that never runs out of fresh ideas. “Take Me There” is a solid proof that he isn’t going anywhere but up.

While everybody busied themselves NYE with obligatory convivialities and fruitless vows, Filipino producer FXXXYBLNT was capping off a personally successful year with the release of a stellar “Take Me There” track that features some deft handiwork from Philadelpha producer, Touurs. Aunque lo conocimos ya con un par de temas destacados (cuales tenían buen cantidad de reproducciones), ahora que llega a los miles de plays en apenas una quincena nos damos cuenta de lo rápido que ha avanzado este productor filipino. Esto me asombra porque muchos no tienen la suerte de FXXXYBLNT. Ha hecho las cosas bien, me queda claro, pero hay otros tantos que también han seguido un camino de calidad impecable y les cuesta cinco o seis veces más llegar a tener la base de fans de la que hoy goza este joven. Para su nueva entrega, misma que se mantiene en formato de sencillo, ha hecho alianza con aquella banda que tuviera que agregarse una “u” extra en su nombre para evitar confusiones y demás conflictos. Hablo de Touurs, otro de esos artistas que tienes muy en mente cuando andas deseoso de beats diseñados para los momentos íntimos con tu pareja, dígase remix o trabajo propio. Ya con esto, es evidente que “Take Me There” vuelve a cumplir con las altas expectativas.

An eerie rework of How To Dress Well’s magnificent “Cold Nites”. Maybe it’s a testament to Tom Krell that his single is almost endlessly recyclable, or maybe it just attracts the sort of talents that can reframe it without wearing it out. Either way, the “baked” edit warms up those chilly evenings, wrapping Krell’s fragile vox up in sickly pads and samples. This is “Cold Nites” imagined by someone who’s always had to struggle to sleep for the heat.

Here’s the debut track “Window Water Baby Moving” from up-and-coming producer FXXXYBLNT. The Manila-based producer seems to have immaculate production skills right off the bat. With this track, the producer effortlessly takes simple snippets of vocal samples and lays them across a backdrop of dripping beat work and a soothing soundscape. Its clean, clear-cut demeanor should not be confused with lack of creative complexity; its simple arrangements indeed reflect that of a well thought-out production. This track will be appearing on the producer’s upcoming debut EP, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.

Si creían que el chillwave en todas sus dimensiones estaba más que finiquitado, vuelvan a pensarlo. Ok, les acepto la disminución de éste en el último año, pero aún se pueden encontrar muy buenas cosas de vez en cuando. En esta oportunidad, no podía ser otro sino un asiático quien se aventura en un género casi cliché, consiguiendo un tema limpio y bastante sencillo que no desestima ser bailable al añadir samples r&b. FXXXYBLNT se integra -sin querer- a las filas de un hip-hop instrumental que se nutre de lo soft y el pop. No podría apostar mucho a por él (o ella) pues apenas es su primera canción fuera de los remixes, mas tampoco se puede ignorar. Por lo pronto nos deja algo lindo, fresco para estas vacaciones, y no queda otra más que agradecerlo.
