"Zadig, a leading figure in Paris' contemporary techno scene, has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the city's global standing in electronic music. Initially part of the '90s French rave scene, Sylvain Peltier transitioned to the alias Zadig in 2009, forging a significant connection with the influential Syncrophone label in Paris. His instrumental role in the city's techno resurgence is underscored by the launch of his Construct Re-Form label in 2011, introducing and supporting emerging French talents.

Zadig's influence extends internationally, with performances at renowned venues such as Tresor, Berghain, Concrete. His diverse discography includes releases on labels like Deeply Rooted House and TRESOR."

Vertical Spectrum kicking off our new live cast series focused on mixes recorded at Refractiøn events with his spectacular 2 hour set in Olsztyn, Poland at Futro on 04.11.23.

bio : 

Vertical Spectrum is the latest project of the polish producer from Silesia, whose stage activity began in 2000. Over this time, his musical variations and constant passion, which he manifested under various alter egos in the past, also playing as a live act, led to create this brand. First official EP under name Vertical Spectrum was released in 2015. and after following several subsequent releases, he received an offer to record his first vinyl for the german Nachtstrom Schallplatten label, for which he released 5 vinyls so far, including 1 album. As a result was he was able to cooperate with many legendary names, crowned with remixes of top names such as Alexander Kowalski, Patrik Skoog, Abstract Division, Developer or Ben Gibson and others. Right after he received an offer to join other well known and respected brands including Dynamic Reflection, Tsunami Records, belonging to the spanish legend Christian Wunsch or Granulard Records from under the sign of 1/2 Exium duo. In 2018 he received offers to release his music on Pole Group label lead by the legendary Oscar Mulero, and as a result he appeared on Unknown Landscapes compilation, mixed by Lewis Fautzi.

His productions are undoubtedly appreciated by many great artists in the world and he is not a rare guest in the sets of such an appreciated names as: Blawan, Ben Sims, Paula Temple, Oscar Mulero, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Headless Horseman, Marco Bailey and many others. The year 2021 was another milestone in his career, which resulted in deeper cooperation with representatives of leading techno brands in the world. As he joined: - Warm Up (Oscar Mulero) - Semantica (Svreca) - Mord (Bas Mooy) - Edit Select (Edit Select) - Faut Section (Lewis Fautzi). In 2022 he would continue collaboration with top brands and release for Mord Records or Edit Select, just to name a few. In addition to numerous performances at recognized events in his native Poland, he also had the pleasure of performing in Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Latvia, and Tresor club in Germany.

Today we launch a new mix with Italo/Iranian DJ and producer Sciahri, to mark the release of his brand new EP on Monument Records "Stranger Infatuation."

Sciahri has been meandering throughout the spectrum of Techno ever since his 2014 debut EP on Ilian Tape. He has since released on some of the most influential labels, such as Opal Tapes, Manhigh, Semantica, Mord, and, in parallel, via his own outlet Sublunar Records since 2017. More recently in 2022 he started a live project focused on ambient/ experimental Techno, with a world premiere at the Tehran Contemporary Sounds festival. Since 2023, he has been resident at his hometown club Warehouse303.

Originally from Madrid, Kwartz has now made Berlin his creative hub.
Kwartz first caught the attention of global tastemakers with a series of electrifying EPs, setting him on a trajectory to join the esteemed PoleGroup in 2013, helmed by the iconic Oscar Mulero, where he began to release his works regularly.
Beyond his works on PoleGroup, Kwartz's music has left an indelible mark on prominent international labels, including SK_Eleven, 47, Mord Records, Semantica, Horo, and Warm Up Recordings, to name just a few. In 2016, he embarked on a new journey, launching his own label, Order&Devotion, where he explores dark atmospheres and visceral sounds, all seamlessly interwoven with rhythms designed for the dance floor. In 2021 he started a parallel project with Kaiser called Force Reaction, a project oriented towards a more classic side of techno. Kwartz's sets are more than just music; they are captivating stories told through sound.

Changing the reality around us is the only way to improve each individual. That is the purpose of life and the dare to be achieved, the only way to become a change agent, the art of driving people.

Apart from an Oberding district, Albert von Schrenck-Notzing was a German physician, psychiatrist and psychical researcher who was pioneer investigating paranormal areas like mediumship, hypnotism, thelepathy… also is known as the first forensic psychologist of the history.

Also it’s some kind of word play with the english word «nothing» when verbalized. And now, it’s an electronic music project.
When Dario Garcia started as a self-thaught sound designer, his first obsession was to being able to use frequencies to induce altered states of consciusness to those who listen. Psychoacoustics, low and high frequencies, weird equalizations and post-processes are some of the resources he has been always working around in his different projects to cause different somatizations to the listener. Notzing is the project to develop this idea in form of useful tools for the DJ, to being used in long mixes, powerful quadraphonic soundsystems and a bunch of listeners. When these conditions are met , the project background makes sense.

The Notzing project compositions usually are monotones complex loops, with a repetitive rhythm oscillating (usually 4/4). This is not a lazy choice. The purpose is to make easier the trance induction and to give more freedom to the creative process of the DJ (the shaman or medium) to overlap layers of sounds, textures and to develop a unique sound. It’s a way to empower the complexity of the rest of the sounds and the space where these are placed in the mix. It’s the DJ task to play with loops and to develop the ritual live for the listeners.

Since Notzing it’s a conceptual project, all the compositions and works published responds to cycles orbiting towards recurrent themes. Despite of these thematic cycles, the underlying idea of each work is the induction of altered states. There are some cycles where this purpose is more evident like in the Neuro Cycle. These cycles won’t be closed since the themes threated are the inspiration source and raison d’être of the project
