nikitaw0lfe (she/her) is a Rome-incarnated, Milan-based producer, singer, and DJ, matching the description of that insecure but lowkey toxic girl with a dark secret you followed on Tumblr back in 2014 before you lost all traces of her whereabouts. Her musical path started in 2017 under the moniker “TRXSPVSSXR”, mostly meddling with hip hop, cloud rap, witch house, and phonk, to then move to incorporate her vocals into diehard sonic experiments with all kinds of internet-originated music genres, always with a distinctive cursed DIY edge. Noumeno (he/him), a cult artist in the contemporary underground Italian scene known for his outings on the Milan-based Haunter Records among others, defines himself as a mutagen operating through the contamination of music elements alien to one another arranged via preset-core sound design. Some would be able to recall his legendary, truly avantgarde dwellings with mutant trap reworks and edits such as the seminal, age-defining, Steve Reich-ian edit of the UK drill hit “Keisha & Becky” that appeared on our debut v/a comp “WE NEVER WILL”.

These two cutting-edge artists joined forces in 2023 to start a new platform and netlabel called Club Regret https://soundcloud.com/clubregret, a space for experimenting with internet aesthetics and extreme fringes of emo and electronic music. Today, we’re extremely pleased to present you with their latest collaboration, the "YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THIS YOUR WHOLE LIFE" debut collaborative EP also featuring contributions by NikkiCarrera [https://instagram.com/nikkicarrera21x3] and gЯill [https://instagram.com/mttgrll/].

Composed of five tracks, the release spans a length of just a few seconds over 12 minutes. However, each track feels like a heartfelt, life-long introspection exercise thanks to its ability to convey radical, gut-wrenching emotions. Showing an unmatched sound design mastery, nikitaw0lfe and Noumeno manage to craft unadulterated, raw energy into scalpel-sharp, surgical music productions. All the influences that brought the two artists together are condensed in this multi-layered journey through rave-adjacent electronic echoes and alternative rock/metal crossovers, filtered through an emotionally charged lens and expressed via a detached meta-ironic attitude. 

The EP is a fluid, mastodontic sonic creature assailing you with growls, blackened riffs, unforgiving 808s, tear-jerking melodies, and ton-heavy layers of distortions. In their wide music genre explorations, the two artists unleash chaos with screamo episodes only to hit you one second later with a brief but articulate death metal progression, scratchy screams, and the sickest voice drops drawing from a deep knowledge of Internet culture. You will need to go over this record many times to catch all the little facets of this emo, trap, metal, post-club masterpiece. “Here Comes The Pain”: suffering has indeed arrived and it will never leave. Just like you won’t be able to forget about these tracks.

Through the eyes of Stefano K. ​Testa AKA Noumeno, anxiety shows its fractal nature, its ever-revealing DNA of contradictory micro-emotions, body stimuli and thoughts. Music is his way of processing and exposing this hypercomplexity, crudely exposing the feeling of being haunted by uncertainty and finite knowledge. Assembling piles of granular noisy harmonics as fuel for a rhythmicality on the verge of digital chaos, he uses sporadic bits of muffled melodies as a realistic revisiting of human horror. His gothic roots are turned into futuristic neuroses by bits of decomposed grime, industrial-like heaviness and saturated bass. Recorded through the course of several months in Berlin and Milan, it is Testa’s first ever release, also hosting a densely droning rework by Contort alumnus WSR.

Noumeno X Noods Radio Silver Waves Show - 10/09/2019

Forever is in multiplicity and mutation. Musician and visual artist Nicola Tirabasso (VISIO), together with Haunter founders Daniele Guerrini and Francesco Birsa Alessandri called for a collective effort in order to celebrate these elements of experience. In opposition to linear notions of time itself. An attempt to let perceptions of future and past bleed together, to establish every moment as an infinite process of consumption and re-generation. A compilation of 33 artists, each contributing in their own peculiar style, adding their own blends to the palette and exposing the lineage of their work. It is precisely to state that the perennial immanence of difference is what constitutes the basis for true unity, that the curators have grouped an utterly diverse cast of contributors, whose output strikes a vastity of moods and textures, and grows out of very distinct intentionalities and backgrounds. Making kin without borders, letting mutual support evolve into a chimeric infinity.

In addition to two earlier collaborative EPs as one half of Solid Void (Realia002) and as a member of Hyter (Realia003), Noumeno’s (Realia/Haunter Records/Portals Editions) first solo contribution to Realia’s catalogue is a track entitled: “Oh, Play This, and I’ll Come to You”. 
Combining the artist’s distinctive forward-thinking production style with more recent sample-based/reggaeton-leanining experimentations, “Oh, Play This, and I’ll Come to You” conveys themes of eschatological hope, natural sublime, simultaneity and corporeality.
In this context, the organising principle of identity is no longer presence vs. absence, but pattern/randomness – namely, the sudden recognition of meaningful information against the backdrop of noise and chaos. The pattern/randomness dialectic reveals a situation where two seemingly antagonistic concepts are mutually constitutive: randomness is not the absence of pattern, but the productive ground from which pattern emerges.

Stefano Testa is a media artist and sound designer based in Milan, focusing on hyper faceted, digital soundscapes influenced by several styles and genres he beautifully manages to merge into ultra-dense, mind-blowing, mutant tracks. His music offers morbid perspectives in the contemporary media scenario, focusing on social interactions and transformations of the self. His fixation with the current trap scene led him to craft this staggering piece of fragmented, Steve Reich–ish conceptual drill composition.
