German DJ, producer, and Disco House veteran Justin Faust debuts on Montaime with “Pacheco”, a tropically lush Disco House track overflowing with glossy synths, jazzy chords, and filtered samples.

Since 2008, Justin Faust has been an international household name in Disco’s revival: with releases on labels like Nervous Records, French Horn Rebellion’s toucan sounds, and Moulinex and Xinobi’s Discotexas - not to mention his remixes for Childish Gambino, Treasure Fingers, and The Knocks. From his glimmering synths on 2009’s “Revenge (EP)” and 2014’s “Spellbound”, to his groovy sampling on 2013’s “Disco Cuts (EP)”, the German producer never fails to fill up the dance floor.

Now, Montaime is proud to feature Justin Faust - “Pacheco”, a Disco House track that features Justin Faust’s signature synths and lush chords - evoking a Californian tropical landscape.

The track opens with a four-on-the-floor kick priming the listener as Justin Faust crescendos the filtered sample up for the bass, synths, and pads to explode onto the arrangement. Tranquil moments surface to let the listener reflect on the lush sonic landscape Faust has sculpted, as the drums take five to give the bright synths a brief spotlight - only to drop the listener back on their feet soon after. Justin Faust’s veteran production expertise shines with his rich amalgamation of groovy synths, samples, and killer arrangement in “Pacheco”.

REMIXS FROM YOUTH! <I've Got This Feeling Remixes>

2013년 11월에 발매되었던 글렌체크의 정규 2집 [YOUTH!]가 유럽 프로듀서들의 서포트를 받으며 리믹스 앨범으로 출시된다. 

이미 2012년 12월에 선보였던 리믹스 앨범 [‘84]에서 예견 했듯이, 글렌체크는 지속적으로 해외 각국의 아티스트 그리고 레이블과의 교류를 이어 나갔으며, 최근 발매된 정규 2집 [YOUTH!]를 통해 총 세 개의 프로젝트를 완성하기에 이르렀다. 그 중 3월 19일 발매되는 [I've Got This Feeling Remixes]가 바로 그 첫 번째 프로젝트 이다.

[I've Got This Feeling Remixes]는 [YOUTH!]에 수록된 글렌체크의 오리지널 트랙 ‘I've Got This Feeling’과 함께 각국의 프로듀서들이 작업한 4가지의 리믹스 버전이 수록되어 총 5트랙의 앨범으로 구성되었다. 참여한 아티스트로는 프랑스의 영향력 있는 프로듀서로 ‘Shiny Disco Club’과 ‘Roche Musique’라는 레이블을 통해 왕성한 활동을 펼치고 있는 ‘Kartell’, 그리고 뉴잭스윙의 천재라 불리 우며 파리를 대표하는 일렉트로닉 레이블 ‘Kitsune Maison’의 신디사이저 마스터로 유명한 독일 출신 ‘Lorenz rhode’가 참여했다. 특히 ‘Lorenz rhode’는 2013년 5월 ‘aA Design Museum’의 ‘LaAunge’에서 국내 최초 라이브 공연을 선보인바 있다. 

또한 신디사이저 기반의 누디스코 프로듀서로서 기존의 하우스-누디스코-라운지-재즈 음악의 영향을 받아 독창적인 연주 음악을 개척하며 현재 EDM 음악 시장에서 주목 받고 있는 아티스트 ‘Cabinett’, 80년대의 레트로적인 터치로 리스너를 사로잡으며 신디사이저로 만들어내는 새로운 사운드를 통해 유쾌함을 선사하기로 유명한 네덜란드 출신의 듀오 ‘Tesla55’가 함께 참여했다. 

글렌체크의 리믹스 앨범은 ‘I've Got This Feeling’ 외에도 [YOUTH!]에 수록 된 ‘Pacific’, ‘Paint It Gold’가 차례로 4월에 발매될 예정이며, 자세한 일정은 글렌체크의 공식 홈페이지와 SNS를 통해 확인 할 수 있다. 각국의 프로듀서들을 통해 다양하고 새로운 사운드로 재 탄생된 글렌체크의 [YOUTH!]를 지금 만나보자.
