Burkinabé artist and singer Inoussa OUEDRAOGO aka NOUSS NABIL started his career in 1997. Two years later his work is remunerated by the release of “Diana Rose” – a diverse album that offers the public a new hope in the burkinabé music scene. He takes his inspiration from Black So Man, a forgotten artist who appears over and over again throughout the compositions of Nouss Nabil.

His role in “La Colère des Dieux“, the opening film of the 2003 FESPACO, gave him an additional uplift.

Five years ago he discovered the ruudga – the traditional violin of the Mossi – in whose society this ancestral instrument is surrounded by myths and mysteries. 
Inspired by his new musical vision and the fostering of his musical identity, NOUSS NABIL is convinced that music can contribute to the well-being of humankind. “The violin allowed me to see who I really am und showed me that I was born to make music.”
From now on he puts the spiritual and physical elevation of humanbeing in the center of his musical work. Nouss Nabil accompanied by two experienced instrumentalists is ready to let us enter his musical universe and wants to share his vibes with the public. 

Thus emerges a new style of fusion music – where the sound of ruudga is mixed with prenominantly traditional instruments. The sound universe of NOUSS NABIL is a well-tempered mix of traditional burkinabé instruments like ruudga, kalabash and kora, and the ‘classic’ instruments like accoustic guitar.

During the Semaine Nationale de la Culture Bobo 2008 NOUSS NABIL won the 2nd prize in the category ‘Vedette de la chanson moderne’.
