Made for the Jamuary challenge (jamming lots in January).

We finished a song from 2020 for this entry. It took years to finish this one, not ever sounding quite finished enough until today when we worked on it for half a day to finish the old work. It's a strange combination of various genres we admire, in this case gothic/chiptunes/and phonk inspirations, aiming to be both spooky and uplifting. To us, the 808 cowbell sound always reminded us of the ancient Egyptian culture.

It will be up on Bandcamp at the end of the month, when we have enough to make it into a proper compilation and when it has more polish done to mixing/mastering.

Synth work by Masha (@masha-solo) and Rob Ulysses (@rob-ulysses) using a combination of the Roland Gaia SH-01, the app called Figure, and Garageband for iOS, and the lmms DAW.
