Perfect summer afternoon, finally in the Valley, beautiful stage with beautiful people, everybody ready to dance... and sometimes everything comes to places.

Our favourite DJ in all the World, James Monro joins us on Heartwood FM for our 10th Episode ahead of the festival in just 10 days time. We couldn't be more thrilled to have James on board, and as one of the pioneers of the scene we hold so dear Heartwood wouldn't be here without him. James, we salute you!

Zoe has been passionate about music since childhood, playing the piano from a very young age, and already had a huge collection of her favourite artists' releases.
In her teenage years, she also became interested in electronic music and has been participating in psychedelic music events since 2013,
Full On was her first introduction to the genre.
In the spring of 2017, she heard progressive psytrance for the first time, and it's melodic sound has been closest to his heart ever since.
It made her want to do more than just listen to music, she wanted to make her own mixes and she delved into the mysteries of DJing.
In 2020, she and her girlfriend founded the beatKätz duo and started to organise their own events, which also had a progressive edge.
Later in 2021, she was given the opportunity to debut at the well-known Progressive Christmas party series.
Zoe's enthusiasm for psychedelic music is inexhaustible, always striving for variety while staying true to her favourite sound.

He has a fascination to translate visuals through music: to hear colors and see sounds. Like a picture, it’s always about textures, light beams and shadows, a refraction of light. Unveiling the mask, expression of true self and allowing the creative feminine to shine, are just some of the terms that come to mind when looking at this beautiful stage “The Swamp” @ MoDem Festival. 

The journey to Europe was centred around a booking to play at this world renowned festival and it was a pure joy to share the stage with some of my Italian techno gangster idols like, Ness, Feral, Luigi Tozzi, Antonio Ruscito & Knobs. 

The europeans sure do love their techno & this was the 2 hour journey I created for a day time stomp on the swamp. A very special experience that will be cherished.

Long story short, i make Techno since 2003. Hard to describe what i do but something like hypnotic and pulsing progressive music with some trance influenced melodies in a Techno coat.
