Description:
Hidden continues its thorough exploration into the deep and hypnotic realm of techno with an avant-garde and dance-floor ready release by mainstay JC Laurent, titled Through Differences. Included is an instantly recognizable remix by spatial sound virtuoso, Mike Parker.

Side A begins with Through Differences and its rich, organic textures levitating around clever drum work, building tension then releasing with timely percussion. Featuring Mike Parker’s meticulously honed vision of techno, he’s carves out a brutal remix matching his vintage ritualistic sound locked into its own space and frequency.

Side B begins with Backwards’ raw drums aggressively paving the way for an edgy, stripped-down and intense vibe. Navigates Time and Space locks you in immediately with a groovy baseline and rolling snares for a special after-hours feeling.

Silence as Weapon has a distinct off-kilter sensibility with rollicking drums and jabbing percussion.

Premiere: JC Laurent - Through Differences [044HR]

Philipp Läufer is a prolific artist based in Berlin. After starting the post-punk band Bleib Modern and his own record label Black Verb Records, war scenes became an outlet for his solo productions. In his first live jams and recordings under the alias, he quickly established a unique cut of techno; a hybrid of relentlessly propulsive lines, bred with broken, machine-born sounds, forming conflictingly raw and surgical output.

Codec Recordings Unleashes Codec Volume 2, their second Various Artists compilation.
The second Various Artists compilation on Codec Recordings features a range of hypnotic and raw techno from 8 different artists from all over the world.
Kicking off the compilation is Omnia by Russian producer Annabiosis, who starts strong with an acidic track composed of icy pads and deep percussion.
Gestur brings a high energy, raw track with moody chords and huge rumbles resembling that of a banger from the 90s.
Next in line is Camouflage by Linear Phase, a Barcelona based artist who’s seen releases on labels such as Suara Music and Smashead records. He delivers a driving and raw tune with a no nonsense attitude.
The peak-time force continues on DAC Disaster by Random Sequence, a producer from Poland whose previous works have been featured on labels such as Korpus 9 and Devotion Records.
Road Agents presents a hypnotic and percussion oriented song accompanied by droning pads and off kilter rhythms.
Systematic Research, also known by his other alias “ASKE” gives us the track Planetary Scan, filled with rumbling basses, sci-fi bleeps, and ethereal pads.
Recurring artist Von Rausch finishes strong with the track Tensor, featuring large ambience, a biting polyrhythmic groove, and powerful bass to tie it all together.

For the newest issue of Mitsucast our guest is Martina Menfors. Martina is a DJ from Gothenburg, Sweden. She is active in the techno scene since 2015 and has since then played in various locations all around Sweden and also internationally. Her dark and energetic playstyle has gained her a residency at the Gothenburg based Rottweiler bar. Enjoy!

Hello followers and listeners of ELBEREC, Behold our annual anniversary Compilation!
All of a sudden, here we are celebrating our first year rocking around the block and supplying you with 100% Portuguese quality dancefloor commotion!

This was surely an odd year for all and everyone, but among these unpredictable times we still were able to keep our resilience on track and most importantly the lingering flames of releasing, playing and creating music, burning very deep inside. Indeed also a year to reflect how is so essential to share and converge our emotions into dance and communal liberation through the art of Music, and to keep the will of expression alive, even more in times of adversity.

The following collection of eighteen tracks displays the very present times of Portuguese under-underground electronic currents, which restlessly move our little-shaped country community with sterling quality and stimulating diversity. A vast amount of talent - and a far-from-obvious harvest - some of it debuting now on the label, to be dug by those who aren't so familiar with Portugal's scene, curated with decentralized eye and hear.
Roaming from high-driven Techno, peaktime banging intensity, to colder and hypnotic scenery, to wonky grooves, high-bpm infused House or space-rambling Electro, this volume aims to deliver the furious dancing these hard times are requiring and to set a proud mark on our first year of activity.
