„Phyktoria“ is the first album of Stavros Tilkeridis aka Second Tension. Very few projects have managed to develop such an unmistakeable signature sound as it is laid out on this album and the two previous EP’s on Persephonic Sirens. Hailing from Central Macedonia, Second Tension influences of Greek cultural and mythological heritage are obvious while the music acquires transcendence through relentless loops of maximal euphoria and hypnotism. Effortlessly Stavros conducts crispy noise experiments without ever sounding academic or nihilistic.  Literally uncompromising.

To celebrate @matthew-herbert-official’s come back as Wishmountain and the upcoming live performance at Dekmantel festival on 6 August, Accidental Jnr releases a collection of Wishmountain’s seminal works via Bandcamp as well as remixes of his latest Stonework: 1000 metres down album (2022) by the likes of experimental club music producer & DJ based in Malaysia & Singapore @rempitgoddess alongside German DJs and producers @berk and @ancient-methods.

Wishmountain - Hammer (Ancient Methods Remix) SNIPPET

[ NZM99 ]

NZM99 is a project that seems to have risen from the depths of the 90s rave scene, most notably of the early Frankfurt and Belgian tradition. 

Like few others, NZM99 knows how to revive those dark rolling bass walls of that time and pair them with fresh EBM arpeggios. 
The legacy of French legends such as Terence Fixmer, The Hacker or David Caretta is just as unmistakable as his inspiration from vintage equipment, but NZM99’s music is always informed - but never backward-looking. 

As a result, labels such as RAVE or DIE , KHOINIX and PERSEPHONIC SIRENS, quickly became aware of this unmistakable sound and were delighted with releases. NZM99 also runs his own label Tjalk Records, a heartfelt homage to the houseboat in Lyon he resides on. 

His powerful DJ and live sets have brought NZM99 to international stages as an ambassador for the non-carnivalesque rave revival.

Nero (real name Dante Pipia) is a Tbilisi (Georgia) based artist and DJ whose sonic identity forges a visceral & raw fusion of abrasive sounds; cacophonous rhythms, arpeggiated synths and ominous sampling clash to form his distinct style of schizoid body music. With his roots in the local underground scene of Tbilisi, Nero’s approach is not just focused on sound but also absorbs the brutalist undercurrents of his surroundings, blurring the lines between man and machine, club and battleground.

Written and recorded by Sebastian Lee Philipp with his Uhrwald Orange studio collaborator Ralf Beck, ’Morgenrot’ originally appeared on Die Wilde Jagd's debut album in 2015. For this release, Philipp and Beck re-visited the song: the ensuing ‘Fangschuss Version' enjoys an augmented arrangement, additional instrumentation and a haunting guest vocal by New- Zealand based singer Nina Siegler. In Philipp’s words, the 'Fangschuss Version' constitutes “a venture to capture the spirit that has been guiding this fusion release - a desire to explore the concepts of friendship, time, distance and memory. An attempt to unveil fragments of the unseen and to reveal the surge of a distant remembrance in an embracive listening experience.

Ancient Methods showcase an epic masterpiece of enchanting medieval-vibed techno.

Premiere: Die Wilde Jagd - Morgenrot (Ancient Methods Remix) [Minimood]

Following the devastating explosion at the Port of Beirut on August 4, Ma3azef teamed up with New York-based mastering engineer Heba Kadry to curate a compilation by regional and international musicians to raise funds for the continuous relief work being done on the ground in Beirut to help those who have been failed by the Lebanese state.

Today, we're happy to announce two additional remixes to be added to the compilation: ZULI's Kiwii, remixed by El Kontessa; Deena Abdelwahed's Wein El Malayeen, remixed  by Ancient Methods.

The 19-track compilation includes contributions by the likes of Fatima Al Qadiri, Nicolás Jaar, ZULI, Slikback, and others. Bringing sounds together from the different crevices of electronic music, it is a humble attempt to galvanize musicians and listeners into supporting a city that has been integral in shaping the region’s contemporary music scene.

All proceeds from the sales of the compilation are going to local initiatives to provide assistance to those affected, they will be divided between Fundraising Campaign for the Arts and Culture Community in Beirut organized by AFAC; Beirut Musicians' Fund organized by Tunefork Studios, and Beit el Baraka.
