Codec 992 returns with a straight 4 tracker by MIJkE on their fourth release "Tokei Shikake" built to last. 

MIJkE kicks off "Tokei Shikake" with the EP's title track, a moody stomper drenched in reverb that surprises with a fresh sounding acid line halfway through, evoking memories of the last minutes of an intense warehouse rave. 
The rest of the tracks keep expanding on these themes: "Taimuran" is a stripped back bigroom bomb, while "Rasshu" ups the energy further with its gnarly, overdriven acid sounds, brutal kicks and menacing pads. 

For the EP's conclusion, Kaiser remixes "Taimuran" and twists it into a loopy, spaced out acid-techno cut, bringing back the energy of classic 90's techno classics.

Ellen Allien’s ‘Remix 1’ of ‘Mercurial Skin’ welcomes a series of acid-tinged synths patterns, whilst Yogg & Pharaoh unleash off-kilter synths and sinister tones throughout ‘Maara’. Antigone and fellow Taapion co-founder AWB lower the tempo and bring a moment of rest to the fore with their slick interpretation of ‘Ivory’, working spectral sounds amongst precise drum shots, before handing over to Hadone who delivers his second remix of ‘Minotia’, this time opting for an all-out assault of high-octane drum arrangements contrasted against underlying core melodies and completing the package in style.
