NOVALA represents 21st century Los Angeles by combining West African and Latin rhythms with Western dance styles such as Funk, Rock, Jazz, and Hiphop.
Formed in 2014, NOVALA is now comprised of 11 highly sought after musicians in Southern California creating a unique blend of instrumentation, from the full horn section to the array of AfroLatin percussion. 
Skillfully manifesting fresh and intricate ethno-sonic tapestries, NOVALA is creating a unique and unified sound that defies genres and echoes the pulse of a new era.  NOVALA's sound embodies that all-too-familiar vibe of a neo-Cali diaspora gone hay wire and also the strive and awareness necessary to revive our population from a self induced hyper-connected comatose.
