Nova - "Chega de Saudade" - Live from Seahorse Sound Studios

Celebrating 50 years since the landmark recording of Stan Getz and Charlie Byrds "Jazz Samba", world-jazz band Veronneau follow up their highly acclaimed 2011 debut CD with the bossa nova inspired "Jazz Samba Project", winner of the Washington Area Music WAMMIE Award for Best Jazz Recording of the Year. 

Veronneau's first album "Joie de Vivre" took their brand of gypsy swing, bossa and jazz sung in 4 languages, around the world and into the charts. Reaching number 9 on Jazzweeks World Music chart, the band toured in the US, Canada and the UK, performing live on the BBC. 

"Jazz Samba Project" puts the fabulous vocals of Lynn Veronneau and the nylon string acoustic guitars of Ken Avis and David Rosenblatt to great use on the classic songs of bossa nova and their own bossa interpretations of contemporary songs such as Waiting in Vain.

The band Le BOSSA NOVA CAFÉ has been formed by Liza da Costa in 2005.
Liza da Costa is well known as the singer and composer of the band HOTEL BOSSA NOVA.
Since Hotel Bossa Nova strictly play concerts and there were so many people interested in casual Bossa Nova for private parties, Liza formed the quartet (quintet) consisting of
Bass, Guitar, Percussion and Piano. Easy Listening Songs like THE GIRL FROM IPANEMA,
BALA COM BALA, CORCOVADO, DESAFINADO or SÓ DANCO SAMBA are part of their repertoire.

Their second album, Live from Seahorse Sound, is a live full length album with 5 live performance video recordings released in Dec 2017. NOVA released their first Holidays EP, A Bossa Nova Christmas, in Nov 2018 and is currently  working on a new album, original songs and new live videos to be released in 2019, together with a touring schedule.
