On Friday January 18th 2013 Canberra remembered the 10th anniversary of the Canberra Bushfires. When fire came to Canberra a decade ago, it took with it four lives and five hundred houses and countless animals.

Six Canberrans told their story from Mt Stromlo, a place devestated by fire all those years ago. 

JOHN MACKAY was in charge of getting Canberra back on its feet when he was struck with a personal tragedy.
