tim-sum, otherwise known as Timor & Lora Mipsum, are a DJ duo based in London. After meeting at University and running nights together for a number of years they have now joined forces running a monthly radio show on AAJA, hosting up-and-coming DJS from around the UK, as well as playing at different venues around London. Their style is a hybrid mix of breaks, electro, prog, techno and garage.

After MOY's 'Orbital Resonance' EP started the label in spectacular fashion, the second release on Damo B's EMOTEC comes from Ritual Poison co-founder BufoBufo. Following a run of releases on Furthur Electronix, Tone Dropout, Partout and Kouncil Cuts, BufoBufo's 'Perceptual Channels' EP merges acid, electro, breakbeats and the emotive melodies that have become a signature of his music. 'In The Reeds' sets burbling 303s and sci-fi synths against shredded drum loops; 'Silver Disk' nods to a love of classic hip-hop and hardcore, with a monstrous electro bassline; 'Scrying Mirror' has lush house chords, addictive bass and dark interludes; and 'Remote Viewing' is a more reflective downtempo piece with a blissed-out top line and influences from ambient and IDM.

Takeshi Kouzuki returns to ALLEY VERSION label for sharing with the brothers duo FLML, the split mini-LP “Tracks From The Alley”.

From his early cult releases for Mathematics Recordings, Takeshi Kouzuki, as in these new tracks, keeps crossing old school house with his recognizable classy signature.
The warm but hitting acid of “福”, opens the Takeshi Kouzuki’s side, while in the second track “1986” deep-and-dark synthetic magic atmospheres are driven by the beating of the twins TR707 and TR727 drum machines. “Yellowacid” burns in its acid-jackin’ madness.

Openig FLML’s side “Hot Spread” is obscure jackin’ techno mechanical psychedelia, the following “Jack That Strings” is a pure raw windy city deep‘n’acid track. In the closing “Does Mean It’s You” a freaky FM synth melody is driven by the pulsing of liquid and creepy analog synths and drums, while an 8-bit sampled Andy Warhol’s speaking fragment marks the space, until dies in a delay feedback.

The twenty first mix comes exclusively from Timo Rotonen aka Timo  Deeprhythms out of Helsinki Finland. Timo is the founder of up and coming @echocentricrecords, co-founder of collaborative imprint @coymixltd, as well as being head honcho and curator of @deeprhythms mix series since 2001. 

His hour long mix showcases many flavors of electronic sounds while keeping a slow dance club tempo throughout. Ambient & electro essences weave in and out of a bed of downtempo & idm stylings while slow breaks and acid lines come and go to keep the mix intriguing front to back.
