nowhere wood’s atmospheric single “bloom” was recorded in London earlier this year, creating a soundscape that is reflective of nature’s changes whilst also capturing its profound beauty. The song features bright tones and calming melodies reminiscent of pastoral English writers like Nick Drake and Syd Barrett, alongside the ambient work of John Fahey.

nowhere wood’s ethereal new single “snowing” was recorded in London earlier this year with ambient producer, Paul Cousins. Their approach was to reimagine the Pink Floyd song ‘Flaming’, having been inspired by its fantastical imagery and melodies. The impressionistic track uses celestial guitars and piano to capture the gentle calm of falling snow, finding a meditative space for the listener to reflect within its dreamlike world.

Admiring the endless beauty of a brilliant cloud strewn sunset that precedes a wavering moonlit sky, a feeling that is so close but experienced through a great distance, untouchable. What remains after seeing something meaningful, emotions transformed into sound as a way of creating a personal connection to the cosmos. Lasting impression, memory.
