Never Gonna Learn

I had been on the road for a year with my partner and my son barrelling down the back roads of NZ in a house bus named Bang Bang. I was writing the odd song or two when I could. Finally we made it to the big smoke Auckland and I had a sudden urge to record the culmination of that years work. I called up my old band mates, Danny Sugar (My brotha Buddha on Bass) and Dave Jiminez ( Drummer and guitaristo with real feel) and asked them to jump on a plane as soon as they could. Being the good sports they are they jumped at the idea and as soon as they dotted down we went to the rehearsal room. After only a day to polish the songs off we were in the studio recording the tracks live. The beauty of recording like we did meant that the tracks had no time to grow old on us. When we were recording them they were still new creations and that raw intensity is incredibly potent. Back to the Dust is the perfect album for any one wanting to be taken on a lyrical and musical journey. We had a awesome time recording the music and I know you will listening to it.
