Behold! The Giant Scorpion

Nelson Reticence is a multi-instrumentalist and solo artist, writing music across many genres. Having spent nearly two decades in the underground punk-rock and metal scenes, he eventually decided to focus on his roots, and on the music he was raised with. In his youth, artists like Bill Monroe, Red Foley, and Hank Williams were staples in his household. Although music was an integral part of his upbringing, it wasn't until his early teens that he first picked up a guitar. After falling in love with performing, and receiving challenges to learn bluegrass standards by his grandfather, he set on a road that would eventually lead to his solo-project. Nelson takes the word "solo" in his work in a very literal sense, writing and performing all of the instrumentation on his tracks, with the occasional collaborative contribution from other talented independent artists. Blending the Americana styles he grew up to with more contemporary genres, he hopes to reach both a modern audience, and the older generations alike, creating something everyone can appreciate and enjoy.
