Oslo label badabing diskos kicks off with a massive dance floor treat from legendary Norwegian producer diskJokke.

Known since 2008 for his international escapades with Prins Thomas's Full Pupp and the Smalltown Supersounds label, diskJokke has also played everywhere from Panoramabar Berlin to Space Ibiza and Liquid Room Tokyo. He has put out three superb long players, remixed indie acts such as Metronomy and The XX and now, after acquiring his Masters in Mathematics, he is back. He has a complex, weird and wonderful take on melodic and cinematic sounds, as proven by this terrific two-tracker.

Opener 'A Little TnT' wastes no time in locking you in on a wave of retro-future synth work while a squelchy bassline twists and turns below. It's an expansive and widescreen sound packed with the sort of melody that makes Scandi-disco so appealing.

The fantastic '90s' then takes you on a magical trip to the edge of the cosmos, with enchanting synth lines and buoyant drums all building to a crescendo. The mood then flips to acid-tinged disco house with warped lines and late-night menace, making for a truly adventurous track.

This is a terrific first EP from what is sure to be an essential new label.

The 16th release of Belly Dance Services (@bellydanceservices) also marks the 4th edition of Various Worldwide, where artists from across the globe join forces for a mini album with 8 tracks.

From Italy with love for a certain musical weirdness: 'Bubble Gum'. A mesmerizing teamwork between A-Tweed and Kakofonico. After starting off steady and percussive, the beats per minute shift up with Cosman from the Lithuanian coast when he delivers his vibrant version of 'Space Disco'. The third track 'No Man Around' is a magnetizing joint venture between AckerMan from Israel and Funboys trio from Australia. The ritualistic cowbell ceremony is followed by 'Blew my Mind', a cheerful downtempo anthem from Vienna based producer Klaus Benedek. The voyage continues via Turkey and Mexico, where Fat&Bald and Ludviq celebrate their 'Age of Trippiness' with us. The 6th track is a new alliance between Belly Dance Services head Nick Hanzo and German-Greek vocalist Geraldine. Together as 'das molekuel' their emotional 'Chasing Game' will swirl up your serotonin level. The molecules continue exploading while listening to 'Unity', a very hip collab between lithuanian sound doctor Bojarchück and Madrid based Chilenian wizard Persona RS. After traveling between various continents the journey finally arrives in the capital auf Austria. 'Cato' by Peter Zack will complete your summer with dreamy elements and dubby vibes.

A double combo debuting at Sanfuentes Records: Argentina’s dance floor legends Djs Pareja together with Cologne’s most recent jackmaster Bryan Kessler, presenting:
Djs Pareja & Bryan Kessler “Detona” EP.

Both parties coming in hot from their last releases at Cómeme and Numbers, decided to join forces and do an Ep together, specially made for Sanfuentes Records.
And wow, did they deliver :D

“Detona” (to detonate) opens the Ep in a relentless way, with a rhythm that swallows everything around, pushing and pushing and then pushing some more.

“Shu Shu” is where things get dirty and hi-hats are unleashed like flying knives over our heads. 
Also take a listen to the flip side, where we bring in our household rhythm smith Mijo to remix “Shu Shu” in his inimitable style.

And then, the cherry on top: “Ramp and Rage”. Just release this train of a track in front of a 4am audience with a proper sound system -maybe throw a little strobe light in the mix- and let it do it’s thing. Dog barking samples included.

Detona

Djs Pareja & Bryan Kessler - Detona (SFR016)

The last couple of years have been of endless changes and challenges for Fernanda Arrau. The DJ/producer left her birthplace Santiago, where he had been a key part of the local underground scene for more than a decade, to relocate in Madrid. Here she decided to reset and start over - thus, she founded United Colors of Rhythm, a record label that focus on delivering Latin American talent from the heart of Europe to the world. 
Neo House has four original songs that blend singular pads, arpeggios and leads with thumping basslines, gifting four useful club tools for different moments of the night. The collection is completed by her acclaimed fellow Chilean Alejandro Paz, who adds fuel and urgency to "Fuji" with his very own version.

Also accompanying this release is the visual artist from N.Y Pete Ford, who was in charge of giving life to the video clip of the first single "Deep Cut" as well as the cover of this EP.

This is United Colors of Rhythm second release, after making an assured entrance with a Various Artists compilation last November, including tracks sent from Chile, Mexico and Argentina, in what has been presented as an effort that looks to increase the little visibility that Latin based electronic music has in Europe. This 2019 will be busy for the label - with upcoming releases and more collaborations with visual artists, which will make each something unique in its own right.
