DAVID GOMEZ (Groov|it / Cologne)

The Palma-born DJ shares a long term relationship with music and it’s probably safe to say that we talk about deep passion here. His musical roots cover various genres - late 80s & early 90s Synthie Pop, New Wave and Electronic Body Music, just to name a few. The names ‚Kraftwerk’ , Front 242‘ and ‚Depeche‘ Mode are probably just enough to give an impression of the style that he spent countless nights with as a DJ playing in Clubs in and around Cologne and Düsseldorf in the 90s. Today, he plays mainly Deep House and Minimal, but straight Techno and a secret love for Downtempo are also part of his musical identity. Careful listeners will recognize his early DJing days in the sets he plays today. 
Nowadays David Gomez refreshes the scene with a new series of events, called Groov|it, at Artheater Cologne, beginning in spring 2022. Groov|it was founded in 2021 by David Gomez and David Hasert with the prurpose to celebrate underground house music.
