S.A.M. returns to Up The Stuss this summer with the third release in the UTSOFF series, delivering a potent double-header that’s been rattling dancefloors for months. Titled ‘Hit You With My Phone’, the release arrives on 4th July and features two dynamic cuts that further cement the Danish talent’s place in the label’s core family.

A mainstay in Chris Stussy’s recent sets and one of the most talked-about IDs in recent months, title track ‘Hit You With My Phone’ is pure dancefloor dynamite — a helter-skelter ride through organised chaos, laced with warped vocals, frenetic percussion and a relentless groove that grabs you and doesn’t let go. It’s bold, it’s unpredictable, and it’s quickly become one of the most commanding tracks in the Dutch label boss’s arsenal.

On the flip, ‘Got Me Down’ offers a skippy contrast — a low-slung groover that channels tension and release with tightly wound drums and rolling bass, keeping things locked for deeper moments on the floor.

Marking S.A.M.’s third outing on Up The Stuss following their collaborative ‘Get Together’ project with Stussy and the solo ‘Check It Out’ EP, ‘Hit You With My Phone’ sees them explore new ground while staying true to the raw, club-focused ethos of the label. As the UTSOFF series continues to shine a light on uncompromising, forward-facing club music, this latest instalment delivers two cuts built for impact and ready to cause damage.

After two acclaimed releases on Up The Stuss, ‘Sense Of Future’ in 2023 and ‘Synergy’ in 2024, Across Boundaries, the collaborative project of Chris Stussy and Locklead, return with their most expansive and fully realised statement to date. Set for release on 5th September 2025, ‘Sakura’ brings an eight-track, double vinyl package oﬀering a deep dive into the duo’s evolving partnership, showcasing a sound that is as intricate and emotive as it is dancefloor-focused.

The making of the EP reflects an organic approach, with the pair taking to the Dutch wilderness for a series of weekend-long studio retreats, temporarily transforming remote natural spaces into creative sanctuaries. These escapes, surrounded by forests and wildlife, allowed the pair to step away from traditional studio environments and reconnect with the pure essence of their music. This intentional isolation sparked fresh ideas and textures, infusing the project with an expansive and reflective atmosphere - one that captures the contrast of raw nature and the precise electronic craftsmanship to capture crowds.

Musically, the eight-tracker moves fluidly between moods and rhythms, reflecting the layered creative process behind it. The title track ‘Sakura’ opens with a hypnotic groove that blooms into a textured soundscape, while 'The Funktion' rides tight, infectious, and tunnelling energy. Deeper cuts like ‘A Love Letter…’ reveal a hazy, introspective side, contrasting with the elevating energy of ‘Da Resurrection’. The EP’s range demonstrates Across Boundaries’ growing confidence in exploring diverse facets of house music, blending melody, groove, and atmosphere into a seamless journey.

This release not only marks their largest project under the Across Boundaries moniker, but also signals the maturation of a longtime musical and personal bond between its members. Longtime friends, Chris and Locklead’s collaborative process has evolved into an intuitive dialogue, where ideas flow freely and the boundaries of their sound continue to expand. This latest project is the latest chapter in this ongoing exploration; a cohesive, complete body of work that reflects their shared vision and commitment to pushing house music forward.

With a finely tuned ability to weave together diverse and melodic sounds, it's no surprise that Nima Tahmasebi (aka NT89) has garnered such acclaim for his live performances. A true master of his craft, his productions have been played by some of the most revered names in the industry, including The Chemical Brothers, Laurent Garnier, Ilario Alicante and Charlotte de Witte, just to name a few. He's also lent his remixing skills to heavyweights like Fatboyslim, Duck Sauce, Junkie XL, Tiga and Amelie Lens.
Nima has already traveled the world, performing at residencies in cities like Amsterdam, Lisbon, Paris, and Tokyo, as well as electrifying crowds at renowned festivals such as Awakenings. Having spent six years in Amsterdam, he became a staple player in the city's thriving house and techno scene, regularly appearing at Rara Aves parties parties at the iconic Melkweg venue.
Now, Nima Tahmasebi has set his sights on new horizons, having recently relocated to Rome to focus on his two labels, Lyase Recordings (co-founded with his friend Whitesquare) and World Nima Records. With 2023 shaping up to be his most prolific year yet, Nima Tahmasebi already has six releases scheduled for various techno imprints around the globe.
