EDC Sunrise 2016

Demo of my soundbank for a perfect Yamaha CS80 synthesizer-emulation by Ian Webster, called the "Arminator".
He created this synth in honour of me and I put all my efforts into
the making of a remarkable soundbank - as a tribute to VANGELIS,
the famous electronic pioneer, who used the CS80 as his main synth.
All sounds played in this demo are from this bank (except the drums/percussion) and without the use of external effects...

"Starcadia" is the stellar (ha!) title track of an EP by Joy Electric, on Plastiq Musiq. The melodies simply build on top of each other until the track becomes a monolith of sound. This is my best attempt at getting as close as possible to one of my favorite synth-focused songs.

All sounds here are the Moog Matriarch synthesizer in monophonic mode, MIDI programmed, and recorded directly into Ableton Live. No Ableton plugins or effects used except for some light track volume/panning sweeps, and compression on the [synth] bass drums. Delay sounds are the Matriarch's stereo analog delay.

NOTE: Through recording this piece, I learned about how MIDI clock data sent from a DAW can have tempo "drift" or "jitter". In other words, the timing of rhythmic notes is not perfect.
