Earth Freq went above and beyond my expectations. From the markets to the stages, operations, and especially the people, it truly is one of the most well-curated, welcoming and outright entertaining festivals I've ever been too. It was extra special to see so many close friends share their talents over the weekend, all of whom possess such an inspiring dedication to their craft. You know who you are and are all unreal gifts to the scene. And because of that, having the chance to play at Love Camp was really just the cherry on top of an already an unforgettable weekend. 

I'm forever grateful to Leo & Jade for welcoming me to the fold, and Butters and Christopher Brooks for booking me. 

Finally, a big big thank you to all my friends and everyone else who joined me for my set. It was a lush start to the day with coffee & breaky, yoga, couch gags and of course some morning grooves :)

Happy holidays. We're excited to present a special new mix from two members of the Bass Coast team.

@Sabota is a collaboration between Vancouver house and techno staple Max Ulis, and singer-songwriter Robbie Slade. 

Sabota is probably the most left-field thing in Robbie's catalogue of music, while it's certainly the most pop-sensible thing Max has been a part of. As the project has progressed, each has started exploring the other's role, that is, Max has been contributing to writing lyrics and song arrangement, while Robbie has been taking on more of a role in producing. This get/give flow of energy and non verbal communication is at the very heart of Sabota.
