Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation and three vinyl samplers of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection.

This second sampler pulls together three tracks of deep, dubby and ambient music from French producer duo Polar Inertia, Remote_ and Sweden's Varg. His track 'Ohns Odegard' is a serene and autumnal bit of ambient with swollen pads and incidental synths making for a soothing atmosphere. Remote_'s 'Echo Of You' is just as wide open and serene but has a warm, rubbery pulse driving it along and finally Polar Inertia gets a little frazzled and intense with their loopy slow techno roller 'Sonic Outlaws'.

The first of three samplers features Acronym, Ben Buitendijk and Voiski. Acronym's track '16 Cygni' is a sci-fi bit of techno that is speedy, slick and intergalactic, whilst Ben Buitendijk offers up some Millsian, streamlined techno urgency with his 'Colourblind' and finally Voiski gets all elastic and industrial tinged with his whip lashing effort.

@softassnow have today announced the Glass Body Remixed EP, a collection of four remixes from their well-received debut EP, Glass Body, out now on Houndstooth. The remix EP arrives November 3rd with reworks from Gabe Gurnsey of @factory-floor, Brian DeGraw of Gang Gang Dance, @mariaminerva and Stroboscopic Artefacts boss man @Lucy, integrating Oda’s vocals and driving “Halo Heart” straight to the dance floor. 

Soft as Snow will be performing LIVE this Thursday 25th September as part of the month long AIM (Association of Independent Music) 'Labelled with Love' Houndstooth Showcase @ Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, alongside @akkordmusik and @second_storey.
