I put my heart and soul into these tracks over the last 6 months. Creating this EP was a personal journey toward developing my own sound, improving myself musically, and finding my identity as an artist. I use music to convey the emotions that I would normally bottle up. "If Only" represents those emotions that we're not always comfortable sharing. Those emotions we try to bottle up and forget. Regrets, what ifs, and if onlys. Life is too short for these things, so do what you love and share your love with the world.

Get To Know more about Triv, life in Milwaukee and his inspiration and aspirations as an artist. 

"I'm a 21 year old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I work out of Ableton mostly with stock plugins and instruments. I grew up with a bit of a musical background as a self-taught drummer and (amateur) guitarist. In the fall of 2013, I started working at this little pizza place in Milwaukee, where a couple of my coworkers made beats and introduced me to the concept. After hearing some of their stuff, I decided to give it a shot myself and I was hooked immediately. It was around this time I also started using Soundcloud to discover lesser known artists and expand my musical tastes. I soon discovered groups like Team Supreme, Soulection, and Flow-FI. These are just a few of the many groups that inspired me to think more creatively and push my boundaries as a producer.

Recently, I've been working with the Milwaukee-based Noh Life Music Group (@nohlifestyle). They've helped me get involved in the local music scene and have taught me lessons along the way. It's cool to see other like-minded artists in my city pushing the boundaries, improving the scene, and putting Milwaukee on the map. The scene here is starting to blossom into something special and it feels good to be a part of it's evolution. In the past year, I've had the opportunity to perform in Milwaukee supporting artists such as Hoodboi, Minnesota, and Liquid Stranger.

I incorporate soulful chord progressions, organic percussion, and a variety of vocal chops in my songs. I use my music as an avenue for my own emotional expression and to provoke an emotional response from the listener. I always try to stay true to myself and make music that I can enjoy on a personal level. The journey to find my own sound is never ending and I constantly experiment with different styles to create something new that represents me as an artist. I enjoy blending elements of soul, trap, and hip hop to create a unique and emotional soundscape. The most important element of making music for me is to keep creating and evolving as an artist. Music production started as a small hobby and has quickly evolved into a passion that I enjoy more than anything."
