DJ STRAIGHT GIRL is a DJ and event coordinator from Vancouver, BC that is currently residing in Berlin. She is the founder of bien agiter, an event collective that’s focus over the last 10 months has been using parties as a means for crowd funding and making dance music accessible. The project started as a series of Zoom parties during lockdown, but since restrictions have been lifted, and with the collective effort of so many talented artists and promoters, they’ve been able to put on 5 in person events this year in Vancouver and NYC. There is an exciting new scene being carved out across the global nightlife scene right now, one that prioritizes community and mutual aid over profit and clout, she hopes to be a supporting force in this shift.
