Between

It's been a long time (almost two years) since I've been graced with the seeds / makings of a song, so I'm grateful God is slowly growing this one with me. I had the first two lines and melody phrase for them for a while, then the next two, and now, after an evening walk singing, several more lines and a verse of sorts. I'm sharing this work in progress in the hopes that it may be an encouragement to someone else, too. Remember you are God's/Christ's beloved, so dearly loved by Him.

The working title is "Between," an acknowledgment of how God keeps us (His, secure, trusting) in the blessed between, between the here and now reality and the "not-yet" glory, joy, and future we have in Christ. And as my pastor shared recently, suffering, hardship, changes, and our weaknesses have a place, help keep us trusting in Him, resting in His love and sovereign, gracious hand. In our past, present and future, our hope is certain, because our God is faithful.

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and confident of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1)

"And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6)
