Quite experienced musicians are involved here and the sound on this recording is simply amazing. It’s recorded in a new and upcoming studio which is in a way owned by some of the band members here.. Bands looking out for a good studio here in Germany should check out the homepage (www.kameaudio.com) – perhaps a studio you are looking out for. Death Metal with Grindcore elements, is offered here and surprises with nice ideas, good musicianship, cool (but not new type of) intros and pretty good songs. It’s recognizable that this is their first recording still I would like to recommend this release to each fan of this musicgenre. Das Tempo ist immer schick hoch gehalten, jedoch ohne Dauerblastalarm und Anlehnung an US Lärm wie VILE, vielleicht auch HATE ETERNAL, also mit deutlich technischem Einschlag. Kurze Slam Parts, wahrscheinlich aus Respekt vor einer austickenden Moshpit“, verstecken sich da eher. Kommt aber gut so, denn was man dezent verteilt, hält die Langeweile fern und gibt dem Gesamtwerk die richtige Würze. Fatal Grind

Wie bereits erwähnt ist die komplette Wucht der Mucke in kürzester Zeit auf insgesamt sieben Stücke komprimiert, wobei “World Extinction” den Anfang der ordentlichen Vernichtung darstellt. Brutal-Death in Kombination mit der richtigen Prise Gore-Grind. EXTINCTIONIST bedienen sich der gängigen Stilelemente, ohne dabei verbraucht oder langweilig zu wirken. Eine gesunde Mischung aus totalem Gemetzel im Sinne von “Fully Automated Aggression” bis hin zu Parts, beispielsweise “The Extincionist”, denen man einen gewissen Mitbang-Faktor nicht absprechen kann. Bei jedem Track ist allerdings die technische Note unüberhörbar. Es gilt also nicht, auf Teufel komm raus Töne und (Dis)Harmonien zu erzeugen, die alles sind nur nicht geil, sondern auf echt hohem Niveau extreme Musik zu fabrizieren, welche die geneigte Hörerschaft durchaus anspricht. Das Hauptaugenmerk von Extinctionist liegt selbstverständlich im technischen und schnellen Death Metal und Grindcore Bereich. Wer groovigen Old School Death Metal erwartet, ist hier definitiv an der falschen Stelle. Es wird geboltzt und geshreddet bis die Bierflaschen im Kühlschrank zerplatzen. Extinctionist spielen auf technisch sehr hohem Niveau, auch wenn der Drummer auf der CD kein echter ist, so hat die Band mittlerweile einen menschlichen gefunden.

Die Vocals sind ebenfalls sehr gelungen, kennt man zwar von zig anderen Bands, aber dafür wird auch gegrowlt, gegrunzt und geräuspert dass es jedem Death Metal Fan eine wahre Freude ist. Auch die Gitarrenarbeit lässt keine Wünsche offen, hier merkt man das große Talent der Chemnitzer und kann die Freude deutlich heraushören die die Band am musizieren hat. Das die Scheibe nach 7 Minuten leider schon zu Ende ist, ist zwar bitter, kann aber verkraftet werden. Denn „All flesh must be eaten“ wird mit Sicherheit nicht nur einmal durch die Gehörgänge dröhnen und stellt Fans von Death Metal, Grindcore und Goregrind sicherlich eine willkommene Abwechslung da.

Wer auf jede Menge technische Frickeleien steht, Fan von Bands wie Nile und Co. ist und sich gern den Weg zum Ohrenarzt ersparen will, kann sich die CD kostenlos downloaden und sich mal die Gehörgänge und das Trommelfell ordentlich durchpusten lassen. Rotting Hill Austria

Klingt brutal, ist es auch. Allerdings bekommt man nicht irgendwelche kurzen Grind-Eruptionen um die Ohren gehauen, sondern extrem frickeligen Death Metal. Totentanz Magazin
