Alpine Skyline, alongside the major areas within that it entails, replaces the Snowdin Forest. While the mountain range was mostly spared from the larger consequences of Mu's Time Piece smashing, the area's own inherent quirks led to some... strange things. Snow appearing in places where it shouldn't be, structures that once stood proud for eons needing to be repaired (or even rebuilt,) and the list goes on. The Nomads and Goats still live very happy lives here though, these are moreso minor inconveniences for them than anything else. Now Bow Kid, on the other hand! She's got a long road ahead before she can make it out of the Alpine.

So uhhh yup, turns out this AU isn't just angst. It's now angst with a Snowy replacement! XD
Ok but for real tho, I'm so incredibly happy with how this turned out. I didn't want to just have 5 different Snowy replacements for each separate area of the Alpine Skyline (cause goddamn it please show my account's minutes SOME form of mercy,) yet I figured merging together different aspects of several tracks into one might somewhat make up the difference while still fitting what I wanted to go for. And Kristian did a fantastic job at doing just that! Just about the only part of the Alpine that wound up not being represented in SOME way (major or minor) was the Lava Cake, but `cut us some slack here man this was so fuckin hard to even come up with the idea for lmaooooo.` The track gave me vibes of Mount Pajamaja's themes from Mario and Luigi Dream Team (albeit likely unintentional,) so I ran with that a wee bit more while finalizing the mix.
