TRAVERSAL, the 6-song Official Soundtrack, is an ambient and electronic exploration through a forgotten land. Inspired by the soundtracks of Assassin's Creed series, Ring of Pain, NUTS, and Quake.

Climbing the ramp to a pedestrian overpass overlooking the interstate whirring by and homes lit with the flickering glow of subscription services.

Originally started as an experiment with the new Kilohearts Phase Plant Astral Beings content bank. I really liked running a glide instrument through AudioThing / Hainbach's Wires Soviet wire recorder.

The nineteenth of 30 days of recording music for Novembeat; the prompt was "distress", a situation in which you are suffering or are in great danger and therefore in urgent need of help.

Throughout the year, Ichiro Dejobaan has been posting silent lighting studies of their upcoming iteration in the AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! universe, which is centered around falling, hence the relation to distress. I scored a few of them for practice and posted them back.

I used a Shepard tone, which is a sound made by overlaying multiple sine waves separated by octaves; it's effect is an audio illusion of always falling or rising.

This is one of them, cleaned up and polished up.

The twenty-first of 30 days of recording music for Novembeat; the prompt was "pink", the best condition or degree. Of which I am honestly not in that feeling right now, a combination of multiple current events and existential stress is really taking its toll tonight for some reason. This piece was supposed to be thoughtful, hopeful, and with an arc. It's not, and it's a snapshot and that's okay. Sometimes, the art I make isn't meant to be on a pedestal.

The twenty-second of 30 days of recording music for Novembeat; the prompt was "alien", a hypothetical or fictional being from another world. We come with beats? Maybe those crop circles weren't just some bloke with a board and a rope.

The twenty-eighth of 30 days of recording music for Novembeat; the prompt was "slink", move smoothly and quietly with gliding steps, in a stealthy or sensuous manner. This recording utilized some field recordings, including the tub drain (paulstretched) and some heavy effects. Credit to Tim Clark for the technique for the heartbeat Moog (The Mist, ZBS).

I've flown into San Francisco International Airport more than a few times. After a few thousand miles, it's welcoming to see the edge of the Bay and the incredible salt ponds. At that point, I'm usually more than ready to get home, but my mind wanders and I'm still drawn to the window. The clunks and whirrs of the sounds of the airplane preparing to land, the anticipation of fellow travelers itching to exit the tin can and the paradoxical combination of slowing yet feeling like you're going faster as we near the ground, and before you know it we're taxiing.
