Gefangen in der Zeit. Gefangen zwischen War und Bin. Zwischen Sein und Werden. Hier und jetzt. Betäubt, betört, bezirzt, erwischt sie dich doch. Erwischt und packt dich, wie eine kalte Hand, die sich mit Nachdruck um deinen Nacken legt, die Fingerspitzen streifen sanft deine Gurgel und dein Atem stockt. Das Herz puckert spürbar vom Zeh bishin zum Kopf. Pocht und klopft, als wolle es mahnen. Eiskalt. Plötzlich. Da. Präsent.
Herzschlag.

Die Augen weit geöffnet, in die Dunkelheit starrend, sehend und doch blind, erkennst du beinahe allüberblickend, was du scheinbar nie gesehen hast. Du siehst. Du begreifst. Du erschrickst. Ein unangenehmes Gefühl. Ein Gefühl in einem Moment, in dem dich die Sprachlosigkeit übermannt und deine Zunge in eiserne Fesseln legt. Tausend Worte lassen deine Augen Bände sprechen. Leicht zu lesen und doch kaum zu interpretieren. Geheimnisvoll, wenngleich abgrundtiefe Ehrlichkeit sich widerspiegelt und die Gedanken aus der Tiefe drücken.
Herz, schlag!

Du erschrickst vor dir selbst. Erschrickst vor der Dunkelheit. Dem Nichts. Doch noch bevor du dich erneut entziehen kannst –  die Augen zusammengekniffen, fest verschlossen –  ergreift sie dich –  schneller als sie schwinden kann. Sie hält dich fest. Hält dich im Hier & Jetzt! Hält und umschließt dich. Wie ein Gürtel, der zu eng verschlossen wurde, schnürt sie sich um deine Seele und legt ein stählernes Band um dein Herz. Plötzlich. Da. Präsent.
Herz. Schlag!

Sie lässt nicht los, du kannst sie hören. Sie singt. Sie spricht. Du hörst. Und obwohl du die Augen fest verschlossen hältst, spürst du jedes Wort und erschaffst mit deinen Gedanken Bilder, die nur du zu zeichnen vermagst. Deine Augen kannst du verschließen. Vor beinahe allem und jedem? Immer? Deine Ohren, jedoch nicht! Die Seele spricht.
Herz. Schlag!

Inmitten aller und umgeben von alle dem, was du vermeintlich brauchst, fehlt doch ein Stück. Ein Stück von dir. Und so sehr du dich bemühst, will es dir doch nicht gelingen. Zu sehr ziehen die Gedanken. Zu sehr wiegt das stählerne Band. Zu weit weg ist das Gefühl. Zu weit weg sind die Gedanken. Zu weit weg! Alles ist nichts. Nichts ist alles!
Herz, schlag!

Reprising his long and fruitful association with Poker Flat, Martin Landsky - elder statesmen and bona fide legend of Berlin's club scene - serves up another superb EP that is more than ample testimony to de- cades of experience in production and be- hind the decks at virtually every noteworthy club or festival you might care to name.

Right from the off, 'Da Geh Bo' hits the sweet spot with its booming bass, precisi- on percussion and spacious production va- lues. This is big, bold, upfront tech house garnished with imagination - not least the cut-up vocalizations that zip and echo in the mix.

'Under The Bridge' is equally ballsy, its re- petitive stabs demonstrating Landsky's in- nate understanding for what moves people in both body and mind. Synth drones sweep above you like searchlights over Gotham, soaring up towards a textbook climax.

Rounding things off, the House Mix of the title track marries a hard-hitting kick to a nebula of reverberating synth: a foundation for a swinging, swaying and utterly super- smooth groove.

After "Summer In Jakarta" and "Winter In Jakarta" it was time for another season comp by Jakarta as it's also our 10th birthday as a label. 15 unreleased tracks from Jakarta artists and people we are just friends with / like. Full release dropping as a free DLL in mid november. Some retailers will also have a free cassette tape version.

Ill Camille is one of those artists that we have been fans of for some years but never ended up releasing something together. Therefore it's even greater to have her on "Autumn in Jakarta". Keep her on your radar, she's gonna do great things in the near future. Trust us.

Poker Flat Recordings deliver another killer collaboration, this time between Berlin’s youANDme and The Analog Roland Orchestra. The result is Reflection - an EP containing more than its fair share of pure dancefloor moments. 

The Analog Roland Orchestra is Michal Matlak, the Berliner whose intimate knowledge of dance music’s most iconic machines has made him a much-in-demand producer and remixer. Teaming up with party starters youANDme as well as vocalist Black Soda, the title track of this release explores deep vibrations, merging 303 basslines, crisp 909 programming and a highly effective vocal.

The Hyenah remix flips the script and develops a deep afro-house inspired cut - the man from the Caymen Islands developing an irresistible groove stretched out over seven and a half minutes.

The Acid mix gives an opportunity for the guys to get busy working the 303 to its full (un) natural potential, while the Morning Light mix locks into a cosmic vibe - shimmering synths over a smooth, rolling deep house vibe.

The Dub Tool (Vinyl and Beatport only) reworks the vocals into a more spacey arrangement, adding atmosphere for DJs who like to keep their sets stripped back and trippy.

In addition you'll find the chilly Morning Light Mix on the digital release.

10TRAX number 43 comes from Tom Schaek aka Diepvries. The Belgian has shared with us a great mix which he describes as: “the stuff i listen to when i'm working, some of my favorite spiritual jams, cosmic jazz, rainforest dub, buddha rock, japanese psychedelia but nothing too crazy.” For us it’s a mix full of good musical taste and experience, a real psychedelic trip through different sounds with soft and coherent transitions. 

Tom tells us that: “I consider myself a retired dj. I rarely play out anymore (kids and stuff, you know) but still really into... [I am] always doing a new mix and most of the time I trash it but sometimes it just comes to me like a revelation, those are the best. At the moment I'm working on an 8 hour ambient mix. The idea is that you can either play it for a full work day if you want to completely zone out from your coworkers. Or you can play it really quietly while you're sleeping and maybe something interesting will happen.” 

Diepvries is also the founder of Flexx records which was particularly active during from 2005 to 2010 with a healthy amount of releases. Currently the label is on standby but Tom is considering rebooting it one day, hopefully sooner than later!

James Dexter (@jamesdexter)has been incredibly prolific over the last few years, with numerous taste-making labels showcasing his ear for refined, dynamic house music.
 
With his first release on the Poker Flat Wax series, the young Brit drops three new mission statements from the underground, each unified by a slick production sensibility and irresistible feel for groove.
 
Voices is a deep bomb - a shuffling, kinetic rhythm with oceans of space for subtle melodic elements and textures. Spread out over eight and a half minutes, this is one to get lost to.
 
Point Blank’s deep pads and detuned kick drum reference Detroit's classic house sound, the raw drums and vocal snippets adding a truly basement vibe. 

Area 51 is another atmospheric late night jam, with a bumping rhythm track and subtle pad washes - stripped down and weaponised for the serious dancers.

As we get closer to our sister label PUZL Records 1 Year Anniversary celebration we couldn’t resist tapping one of their esteemed guests, Daniel Steinberg, to be apart of our mix series this week. A few years back our own MR PUZL came across the Steinberg’s Arms & Legs outfit and since then has championed their sound in his mixes, reviews and sets. Their unique blend of funk, jazz, hip-hop, soul and house coupled with their passion and longstanding presence in the scene has made them staple in DJ sets and radio shows worldwide. Steinberg’s recent collaboration with Oliver Dollar is yet another reflection of the producer’s esteemed career and ability to stay in sync with the constantly evolving landscape of our industry. 

While Daniel Steinberg may not be a household name here in the states (and in the deeply saturated market of Los Angeles even the world’s best and brightest can seemingly go unnoticed) he is certainly an artist we recommend you become familiar with. As always, we at LAMP stay firm to our commitment to not only shine light on local talent but those from cities and countries far and wide that inspire and influence our musical tastes. Die #41 unserer Podcastreihe kommt von Schegg aus München. Der Junge Mann, unter anderem bekannt durch seine releases auf NBAST oder Boutade Musique, besticht vor allem durch seinen facettenreichen Sound. Von ganz deep bis hin zu ganz viel disco ist bei ihm alles vertreten. Regelmäßig zieht er damit seine Zuhörerschaft beispielsweise im Goldenen Reiter oder Bahnwärther Thiel in den Bann.

null4277 ist ein über die Jahre gewachsener Freundeskreis, den neben vielen anderen Dingen der Hang zum elektronischen 4/4-Takt verbindet. Der Ursprung der Crew ist im gleich bezifferten Leipziger Stadtteil Connewitz zu suchen, Lebensmittelpunkt von Lost in Deep – Martin Borth und René Sielaff – sowie Andreas Hübner, in dem diese vor etlichen Jahren beginnen, ihre gemeinsamen Schnittmengen in Sachen Feiern und Musik auszuloten. Als die drei Connewitzer im Jahr 2008 beschließen, aktiv ins Geschehen einzugreifen, liegt der Name der Crew auf der Hand …

Zur ursprünglichen Besetzung ist 2010 Sené Ceanes hinzugestoßen, der bereits einige Jahre als DJ, heute aber vor allem als Produzent und Liveact aktiv ist. Erweitert wurde das Kollektiv in den vergangenen Jahren außerdem durch den erfahrenen Constantin Koch aka Freak de Philipè sowie den jüngsten im Bunde, Mütos.

Nach dem sich Anfang 2016 und schweren Herzens die Wege der drei Gründungsmitglieder trennten, weil Andreas Hübner zukünftig seine uneingeschränkte Aufmerksamkeit seiner Familie widmen möchte, konnte die Crew in der zweiten Jahreshälfte bereits zwei Neuzugänge verzeichnen. Die Vinyl-Liebhaber First Aid: Disco! aus der Sparte 13 Naumburg sowie Mount Y, dessen Ursprung in der Querfurter Homebase zu finden ist.

Damit streckt die null4277-Crew die Soundfühler aus, entwickelt sich weiter und findet doch gleichzeitig immer wieder zu sich selbst zurück. Der Housemusik bleiben sie treu – ob deep, Disco oder auch mal technoid, doch aber immer mit einer Standleitung zum Herzen der Künstler und eng verbunden mit der Housecity Leipzig.
