We did a remix of a currently unreleased track by Stereospread.  It sort of accidentally became sort of a retro-80's summer beach jam thing.

I was messing around in the studio, programming some sine-y synth leads for another track and I made this noise that went "beeeooowwwww..."

"huh."

"beeeooowwweeeeeee"

"That sounds like..."

"beeeooowwweeeeoooooo!"

"yeah, okay there we go."

And an hour later I had this.

I always joke that every time I guest-host "Something Wonderful", I play a London Grammar remix.

Well, I'm guest-hosting again, so I figured for a change I'd remix something myself.

It originally started as a very 80's, synthwave kind of thing, but the more I thought about LG, and Hannah Reid's predilection for 90's-style high-waisted jeans, the more of a 90's-house influence crept in.

I love this album so much.  SO MUCH.

Rock goddess Meghan Rose asked us to remix one of her songs.  We snagged the hard-driving, fearless "Blood Is So Thick."

And we turned it into a summery poppy house jam.

Go figure.

The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove

Eric Goedken, lyricist and longtime core member of Null Device, recently had a birthday.  

He's a big James Bond fan.

He's also a big A-Ha fan.

So the other members of Null Device got together and decided to record this for him, a cover of A-Ha's theme to 1987's "The Living Daylights."
