Strolling through the forest, your feet carry you along a narrow path. You can feel the dead leaves and dry branches give way to your soft step. The scent of bark, fungi and wet moss filling your nostrils while you surrender to the spirit of the woods. A familiar, yet so foreign fragrance, your eyes drenched in a deep green, it feels like home. Accompanied by a tender melody sung by the birds, soft rays of light cutting through leafy crowns, the gentle rustling embedded in insectoid humming. The slow rhythm of growth, older than man, older than all superficial chatter and pitiful humanoid complaints of everyday troubles, all of it gets drowned in this ancient song, audible to anyone, if only we cared to listen.

This is the set from a party I played in Padova at the end of February. It was a collaboration between Transition Festival and H Pirates, a very nice organization from the North of Italy that deliver both indoor and outdoor events at a variety of BPMs. This was their last indoor event of the season, and I was invited to play one of my transitional sets, this time from ForestProg to Forestpsy, ending up with some Deep Forest in a progression from 140 to 152. Featuring some tracks from my latest compilation, as well as Intermind, Resina and some other killer music from artists I usually play. I added an intro that I created to give it a piracy edge.

In the past editions, this stage was called Main. We consider that today it's totally inappropriate to divide musical genres on 'main' and 'alternative'. However new name doesn't change the fact that The Hive is the nucleus of Mo:Dem Festival. The place where nature, art, creativity, technology and the spirits of the forest meet to create ultimate dance space. TETRAKTYZ @ The Hive | Mo:Dem Festival 2019.

My name is Matthias and I was born in Bavaria in the 70s. In my early years as a youngling I had to learn a lot of uncool instruments and because i never found fun in play scales for hours I didn‘t really practice and instead had more time for other interests. Since I can‘t sing and can‘t play any cool instruments but aIlways loved to listen to music and when the first Front 242 CD finally found its way into my CD player, I was hooked on electronic music. I started to buy synthesizers from my first hard earned money and started a long jouney into experimental music, noise and industrial sounds. I released music on vinyl, cassette and traveled the world playing noise shows and enjoying life to the full. 
Over the years my musical interests shifted towards dark ambient and idm for some deep space exploration trips to the outer rims of the solar system. During a short visit back to good old earth I went on a walk through the winter woods with some decent black metal in my ears and uncle Albert by my side and for a moment the Spirit of the Forest appeared and gave me a mission to spread love and happines among human beings. 
On that day my journey into the world of psychedelic music started and from that day on, I am trying hard to develop some lovely melodies but it never works out. Instead, I end up with some darker tunes,.... a truly desperate situation, I assure you..... but I am on a mission and I won‘t stop spreading lovely darkness to the masses!!
