El concepto de esta grabación de campo consiste en reflejar tres aspectos diferentes que confluyen en uno y conviven. Animal - Planeta - Máquina. Se puede observar como biofonía el sonido de lobos marinos rugiendo, y también algunos pájaros; como geofonía el sonido de las olas del mar; y como antropofonías el sonido constante y lejano del motor de un barco.
El ser humano ha tomando como propios, diferentes hábitats donde viven comunidades de seres vivos. Más allá de ello hay una convivencia entre lo natural y lo considerado no natural, indiferentemente de que el humano sea naturaleza y al mismo tiempo creador de agentes contaminantes a gran escala.
En Mar del Plata los lobos marinos estuvieron primero, la civilización y el puerto artificial, después. Estos mamíferos pinnípedos fueron perdiendo territorio a medida que se fue forjando la industria pesquera en esa zona. Hoy en día este lugar y su fauna están “protegidas”, pero los lobos marinos siguen estando en contacto con desechos orgánicos e inorgánicos provenientes de la actividad pesquera, ocasionando una variada cantidad de patologías adversas para ellos.

Descripcion:  "He assumed the name Kukai as a Buddhist priest. Saint, miracle worker, and founder of the Shingon Buddhist sect. To Kπbπ Daishi are attributed a vast array of miracles and wonders. He established the worship of Konpira-daigongen in Kompira-san on Shikoku Island and founded the temple complex on Kπya-san. The facts of his life are dramatic enough, even without the mythical dimension. Kukai means "Air/Sea" 
"During this period of private Buddhist practice, Kūkai had a dream, in which a man appeared and told Kūkai that the Mahavairocana Tantra is the scripture which contained the doctrine Kūkai was seeking. Though Kūkai soon managed to obtain a copy of this sūtra which had only recently become available in Japan, he immediately encountered difficulty."  

El concepto de Vermillion está detallado brevemente en el pdf que le
envié. El concepto de la canción es que kukai está dedicado al monje
budista que impartió su sabiduría en Asia oriental y recorrió mares
para dedicar su vida y su sabiduría para los demás. Inspiración de
esta historia lleva así por eso el nombre en memoria de este honorable
hombre que además de eso escribió, enseñó y cambio la vida de Japón y
China. Por eso ese viaje a un mundo donde un ser pudo trascender todos
los límites que atravesaba en ese entonces incluyendo el poder y el
mandato de los emperadores. Fue un hombre revolucionario. He ahí el
concepto del tema. Como te comentaba en mi breve bio... María Pérez
(mi persona) quiere interpretar a través de sonidos la búsqueda de
interpretar la cósmovision y tradición de diferentes culturas
asiáticas.

María Emilia Perez (12 de Septiembre de 1992)
Diseñador gráfico y artista sonoro experimental nacida en Maracaibo,
Estado Zulia, Venezuela. Empezó su trayectoria en la escena
experimental de ruido en el año 2010 y formó parte del proyecto de
power electronics llamado Nullifcation (Leo Sabatto) De Ecuador.
También formó parte del proyecto de electrónica experimental de México
llamado Epidemia junto con Chiuy Bitus  (2012) y se presentó en vivo
en Caracas y Maracaibo (2016) participando con el proyecto b1n4r14
(caracas) en el centro de arte Los Galpones. Tras experimentar con
instrumentos análogos, voces y su fiel aliada la laptop, nace el
proyecto Vermillion a mediados del año 2016 hasta la actualidad. Ha
lanzado 3 temas que participan en distintos compilados de Sudamérica
al igual que ha participado en colectivo con otros proyectos como
Damballah (Ecuador) y Gutiers (Chile) también ha participado en un
track colaborativo con Damballah y Marco Valdivia (###) de Perú. Se ha
presentado en vivo en varias partes de Ecuador: Ambato, Guayaquil y
Quito. Participó en el colectivo llamado Gwyqkll (Colectivo Guayaquil)
el cual se presentó dos veces en el festival funkfest 2017 (Guayaquil)
y en el festival de música contemporánea (Quito).

"The Itako's procedure was as follows: rubbing the beads of her rosary together, she cited the posthumous name of the dead person and the date of his death together with the invocations needed to summon the spirit. These preliminaries over, she would pause and ask casually in a low voice, a number of leading questions. What relation was he to you? …Was he your father? …Your brother? …Did he die in an accident? or after a long illness? How many children had he, and how old is the youngest? "

All these questions were eagerly answered by the client who was often an old woman. Having thus ascertained into which type the dead person feel, the Itako launched into a rapid sing-song chant lasting five or ten minutes. It was not difficult to see that not a single one of the Itako were in any state resembling trance. They exhibited none of the usual symptoms of stertorous breathing and convulsively shaking hands. The chants they recited, moreover, were easily seen to fall into different fixed forms.

An ´Itako´ is a blind shaman woman from the north of Japan. The Itakos are able to connect with the other world, among their powers is talk to the dead and evil spirits. They are also capable of removing from a body any spirit that inhabits both the mind and the shell of a person. The ritual itself lasts several days, during this she is dressed as a bride because once she finishes she will marry the god with him she has gone into a trance. During the ritual, the Itako recites the songs that allow him to be close to his god. The Itako is surrounded by other older Itakos. Once the ritual is over, the elderly Itakos will decide which god the apprentice will join.

Most of Itako are women for a cultural reason. In Japan, women have always had the role of the weaker sex. A girl who was born blind or lost her sight would have great problems to survive, so they are taken to the Itako, achieving that thanks to shamanism could have an honorable way of earning a living. During the same ceremony, Itako's apprentice is dressed as a bride to indicate that she will marry a god. The ceremony is accompanied by continuous sounds of drums and bells that help the Itako to get the concentration required to achieve a trance. If an apprentice doesn't get contact with their spiritual being, they're forced to commit suicide and banished from the Fear Mountain "Osorezan".

Confucian values have created a hierarchy and reinforced the patriarchal structures, wich has led to create an ideal woman in Japan, that has largely been fantasized as a Yamato Nadeshiko.

At present, Japanese media shows a dichotomy of what this ideal is. On one hand it is the loving housewife who takes care of the children and does the housework, but on the opposite hand it is the beautiful, smart, youthful girl.

Despite the fact that Japan needs working women for their economy, women are urged by their families to quit their jobs after getting married. Though the number of two income in households is increasing, there is still a societal pressure for the man to be the breadwinner and for the woman to stay at home or at most work a part-time job.

…But slowly Japanese feminism is starting to change the current system...
