This is my first release of 2024. 

SHEHNAI KUDURO is an AfroDesi track that blends the hard rhythms of Kuduro with folk melodies from a Shehnai at 130 bpm.

Kuduro, born from the vibrant streets of Luanda, Angola, and now redefined in Lisbon’s underground scene, has always been a genre of explosive energy and cultural resonance.  With SHEHNAI KUDURO, we are infusing the sound with the dramatic and airy tones of the shehnai, a wind instrument often paired with Indian ceremonial music and auspicious occasions. 

Drawing inspiration from the music of Júnior No Beat, I started making this track back in Feb of this year. After months of dancefloor testing and re-mixing, we are finally here.

"El Hilwatu" concludes Bachar Mar-Khalifé's new album "The Water Wheel, tribute to Hamza El Din" on a rhythmic and heady note, which flirts with trance.

To remix it, Bachar immediately thought of the techno producer Sama '. Their meeting took place in 2016 in Paris, during the festival Palest'in & out, where they were invited to play, alongside the Jazar Crew.

By proposing to work on this remix, Bachar prolongs this unique encounter, with, in the end, the dream of one day to perform himself in Palestine.

Sama Abdulhadi is an emblematic figure of the Palestinian electronic scene. His productions mix house, techno but also dubstep and experimental. She is the first techno DJ to have imported the genre in Ramallah more than 10 years ago through the organization of parties.
